Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Main dining service was exceptionally good! On the first morning aboard we went to the main dining room for breakfast only to be told it was closed and we should go to the Windjammer Buffet. Upon reaching deck 15, we found a queue in the hundreds. It was out the door and wrapped around into corridors outside. I walk with a stick and can stand for only a few minutes. We went to the Starbucks on deck 4. Starbucks in name only.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Most of the activities were fully booked before we boarded due to the fiasco of a permission from the parents of our grandchildren requirement we were not warned notified about in an obvious manner. I am a very experienced traveler with over 20 cruises so I knew we would need a letter permitting us to take our grandchildren out of the country. What I did not know it had to be witnessed by a solicitor. When we arrived at the boarding desk we were told about that requirement and my wife and grandchildren were sent to see a solicitor. I had boarded with mobility assistance and was left seated in a waiting area for at least an hour. When my wife returned we were the last people checked in and I had to walk aboard in some degree of pain. As a result of the boarding fiasco, almost all the activities were fully booked so my grand children missed several activities. The ones they were able to participate n were great and they had a good time.
