We had a great cruise despite the poor weather we had for most of the cruise.
Embarkation

This was our third cruise on Anthem. We had a 10:00-10:30 check in time. We dropped off our luggage at about 9:50 and parked the car. We went through security and check in very quickly. We had to wait until 10:30 when they began boarding. The whole process was very efficient.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining

Our favorite place to eat dinner was at Coastal Kitchen. The food was absolutely delicious. The service was the best we had all week. We only ate there twice as we wanted to try some of the new dishes in the main dining room. The food there for the most part was very good. One night my husband’s prime rib was over cooked and he let them know. We enjoyed the new choices that were offered. Our servers were very good. We also ate at Chef’s Table one night and it was excellent. We ate most of our breakfasts in the main dining room and they were very good. We did breakfast room service one morning and it was good. We did not eat in the Windjammer.
Solarium Bistro

We were disappointed with breakfast and dinner here. We always enjoyed having breakfast and dinner here on previous cruises, but the food wasn’t as tasty this time around.

The gym was well equipped and clean. We enjoyed the solarium each day. I did the iFly for the third time. It’s a blast!
Entertainment

We loved We Will Rock You. It was a fantastic show. The Spectre was very good. The show was not something we’ve seen before and the performers were very talented.
Service and Staff

Our room steward was the best one we’ve ever had. She was so personable and kept our cabin immaculately clean. Our server in Coastal Kitchen was the best we’ve ever had on all our cruises. I did see some crew members and security having to deal with some unruly teenagers in the solarium and in staircases. There was a table of children who sat by themselves at dinner while their parents sat at another table away from them. The kids were a bit unruly- playing with their food, loud, playing with toys at the table, etc. Most of the children and teenagers we saw who weren’t with their parents behaved well.
Ship Quality

The crew keep the ship very clean and well maintained. They work so hard. The only issue I had is with passengers who seem to think that it’s ok to leave dirty dishes and glasses in hallways and around the ship. I don’t understand why some people do that.
Cabin / Stateroom

We had a junior suite with the split bathroom. We love this type of cabin.
Disembarkation

We requested an 8:30 AM disembarkation time so that we didn’t have to rush through breakfast and get off the ship. It was quick and orderly at that time.
