Review summary

An amazing relaxing long awaited cruise to Norway.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Our embarkation was very speedy with us actually being able to check in and have wellness check before our allotted time slot. We were checked in and onboard ship within 30 mins from start to finish.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We were booked in for ‘My Time’ in the main dining room. Unbeknown to us, booking a table was recommended but upon realising that when we tried to book a table all that were left were late sittings so just went along and queued in the unreserved queue. We never waited more than 5 mins to be seated. A good choice of food to choose from, which was served promptly. The Windjammer also had a wide range of different food available to suit our tastes. Only downside was walking round trying to find a table.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We were unable to book the bumper cars for the duration of the cruise but the pools, climbing walls and The North Star were used and enjoyed by all

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We Will Rock You and Spectra’s Cabaret shows were both fantastic but others we saw not so good. We went along to a quiz show which was a shambles with the hosts not appearing to have a clue to what they were doing and

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
As we sat at different tables for many evening meals and breakfast, we had several different waiters who were all very friendly, polite and helpful. Our room steward was also very friendly and helpful. All staff made acknowledgments

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
All areas of the ship were very clean and well maintained and often saw attendants cleaning around the ship and in the toilets. The layout was very accessible to all areas and I could easily get to everywhere I wanted to go

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
An accessible cabin with large balcony. The cabin was spotless and large. Still plenty of room with my mobility scooter in the cabin. First time cruising with a balcony and wish we’d had one before on previous cruises. The cabin was clean throughout cruise

Ports of call

Alesund, Norway

5 out of 5
Simply stunning. Couldn’t visit Hessa Viewpoint due to a road closure but on way to the Atlantic Aquarium we were given a short sight seeing tour of Alesund

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Very good disembarkation. Off the ship, found luggage, through customs and car loaded with 30 mins
