Review summary

East bound crossing are brutal. Losing an hour every day at sea was hard I heard some ships change the time at noon I think that would have been better than 2am. I did a west bound crossing where you gain an hour every day. I like 25 hour days better than 23 hour days. But other than the constant time change the cruise was great. Colder than expected but great weather.

Overall the food was good. Being on a longer cruise I made myself vary what I ate for breakfast since it’s all the same stuff every day. By doing this I enjoyed it more. My husband ate same food every day and commented that he got tired of it. We don’t eat lunch so can’t comment on that dinner in MDR was good. The chefs were very accommodating to my special dietary needs. Was not a problem getting things off menu when needed. For example I can’t eat white potatoes so I was provided a sweet potato substitute.

Entertainment

Entertainment was A+. Or a miss for me Spectra the show was fantastic the venue is unique. My complaint was that they said you needed reservations. We were there 35 min before and there were no seats available. Was told that they didn’t have many reservations so they just let anyone in. Don’t say doors open 30 min prior if that’s not true be warned- you have to get there 1 hour before this show to get a decent seat. Beatles Celebration. Awesome show! It’s the Beatles. Frankie Valle and the Dreamers. Loved the 4 seasons music didn’t like the rap and other songs - 4 guys singing “ Material girl” Really? The Gift. A lot of build up for this production show. But I didn’t get. And talked to several others who felt the same.

A+. Absolutely the best I have had on any cruise. Stiliyan head waiter was amazing so attentive Dini. Waitress was a sweetheart Roman assistant waiter best ever They went out of there way to accommodate my dietary needs can’t say enough great things about them.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5

1st time on a quantum class ship. The jr suite seemed smaller than on Oasis or Voyager class. But I could be wrong just my perception. Overall clean and functional

Ship tip

Go really early to shows in the Two70 venue. We were not at full capacity and had trouble getting a seat

Last time I did an eastward crossing was in 1973, Vietnam to Oakland, California. Since I worked the 1800 to 0600 shift, it was easy😁
