Review summary

This was NOT a great trip, I enjoyed it because we were with family looking to celebrate some monumental dates - from that stand point it was a success. If I had to tolerate more than 5 days on this ship, I would be wild. The last trip of a season is where you DON"T want to be. The only thing is how do you know that when you are quickly booking a trip?

Food and Dining

We were in a junior suite and able to use Coastal Kitchen which was excellent. One of the dining rooms (American Icon) was terrible. We went for the Sunday brunch assuming it would be pretty good - horrible. I waited 10 minutes for lox, told two servers about it and the head guy finally got the lost for me. The service was awful and food not much better.

Onboard Activities

The one activity that I was able to reserve was the Northstar - that was pretty cool.

Entertainment

Again, this is mixed - We will rock you (the play) was just incredible with the performers going beyond the distance - Broadway show caliber! The other one we saw was The Gift - still trying to figure that one out - one singer out did herself but her booming voice was miscast.

Ship Quality

The cleanliness of the ship left a lot to be desired - we went to the Chef's Table one night and the table I placed my glass on was full of last night's wine rings. Gross! The Chef's Table was sticky from some other activity. Gross! I got food poisoning from the food. Gross!

Cabin / Stateroom

The JS category is wonderful. It gives you plenty of storage, draws, closet, etc. I am usually in a GS but prefer the JS category.
