The ship was very nice. However, a deciding factor for choosing this ship was the stop in Coco Cay. I and lot of other passengers were pissed off that RCCL only chose to inform everyone only 7 days before departing of the change. We booked wanting a few island stops, not a Bayonne to Florida cruise!
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Long line of traffic to get to the terminal. Once you get there, unloading the bags and parking took all of 5 minutes. Then it’s a 2 minute walk back to security and check in. That took another 5 minutes and then we boarded the ship. In all it took 15 minutes from bag drop off to boarding! Not bad at all.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
The food in the main dining rooms was very good. They really know how to do beef!! The buffet We found was ok but not as nearly as much variety as the other cruise lines we’ve been on (NCL & Princess). We didn’t try any of the specialty restaurants.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
Pools, hot tubs, flow rider and Ifly were excellent and lots of fun.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
The stage shows were typical cruise productions-not bad. The comedian the had was a disaster! Miguel Washington - not funny at all! On the other hand, the band was fantastic. They are called the Royal Swedes and we went to see them every night. They rotate around RCCL ships and are now headed to the brand new Spectrum of the Seas.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
5 star service and friendliness from every single person we encountered!

Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Larger than average cabin. The bed was harder than I like. There is a fridge for keeping drinks cold. Our cabin attendant was excellent and cleaned up to 3 times a day. It’s located mid ships she the ship motion isn’t bad in rouged seas.
Ship tip
Book the big ticket items as soon as you board - Ifly, Escape room
We were supposed to go to Coco Cay but the changed the itinerary with less than a week to go!😡. They would have been better off putting in another sea day.
After reading all the bad reviews, we we pleasantly surprised. A beautiful sunny day and time to explore. There was only one other ship in so it wasn’t too crowded.
