We were on the same cruise and had the same issues with finding soda - virtually every time I went to fill my cup with Coke, it was out and all I could get was nasty Hawaiian Punch or something similar.

You could have gone to the service desk and informed them of this. I did, so did a few others when the machines went out on the Promenade Deck. Who wants to ride all the way to the Windjammer or go to a bartender just to get soda?
