One of the greatest vacations I’ve ever been on. My wife and I can’t wait to go again. Beautiful ship and island. Good friend and incredible service. Still dreaming about it. Thank you royal carribean foe such an amazing experience.
Embarkation

We had printed our sea passes 4 months early and didn’t realize we needed to print baggage tags. We tried 24 hours before the cruise but at that point it was too late. Needless to say the minute we got there, royal Caribbean employees took care of it in minutes. Getting on the ship couldn’t have been easier. The guy working security told my wife to leave me behind since I was in a Phillies hat and he in a Mets hat, but I wouldn’t have had it any other way. He helped with our nerves greatly.

Food and Dining

Our first night we at at Solarium BISTRO. I had the Lobster and my wife the steak. Lobster wasn’t great but my wife loved her steak. The little buffet inside the Solarium was outstanding as was our service. Second night was at Grande. Food and service was incredible. I had the swordfish and my wife had steak. The lobster bisque was too spicy and I didn’t care much for it. Third night was the Windjammer. Food was mediocre at best and the crowds were horrible. Saw a fight between two women over a table and a man kept pushing his plate into my wife’s back trying to get her to move faster. Also saw someone pick food up with their barehands. Gross. Never again. 4th night was solarium bistro again. My wife did steak again and I had the shrimp. Both were delicious. 5th night was Johnny rockets. Burgers were ok not great but took far too long to make. Onion rings were outstanding. We also tried sorrentos pizza it was disgusting. Like eating cardboard. Instead we ate king Henry roast beef and jive turkey from the place next store every night. Absolutely incredible as was the young Lady working there. The hot dog stand had good dogs but not enough toppings and the potato salad and Cole slaw were gross. The appetizers in the pub were not great either. Pretzels were good but the lobster Mac and cheese was kraft Mac and cheese with one little piece of lobster. Very disappointed. The drinks across the boat were incredible. Made strong and with a ton of choices. Also loved the roast beef at 270 cafe and what a view!!!

Another understaffed place on nice weather days. They even ran out of straws because of the crowds.
Boleros

Excellent drinks, service, comfort, and entertainment
Schooner Bar

Strong drinks and looked like fun entertainment but because you can walk through it to get to other parts of the boat it gets packed and no places to sit.
North Star Bar

Beautiful views and great service but packed and understaffed on nice days
Bionic Bar

Fun and a nice strong drink but only two iPads to order and people can be pushy when it comes to using them.
Onboard Activities

My wife and I spent a ton of time in the solarium pools and hot tubs. All very nice and not crowded. also took a ride on the North Star. Walked right on when docked in Bermuda. That is the time to do it. Very fun.

The 270 robot show was great D was the royal Swedes in the music hall.
Music Hall

My wife’s and my favorite spot to hang out. The royal Swedes were the house band and they were outstanding. I’m fact we didn’t go to a single show on the anthem ( actually we saw a robot show in 270 which was very well done). We just rocked out with these guys every night.
Children's Programs

Everyone went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Just wonderful.
Ship Quality

I’ve heard people complain about a few areas that can bottleneck. The only time we had an issue was at Schooners and it wasn’t that big of an issue. Getting on the elevators after a show let’s ouy can be a nightmare too but you just need to time it right.
Cabin / Stateroom

Cabin was beautiful and was cleaned twice daily. The balcony can get really windy on sailing days and is almost unusable but great to relax on while in port.
Ship tip
Buy the ultimate drink package. I know it’s pricy but you’ll be surprised how often it gets used and it’s awesome for bottled water and soda as well.
Not great. Our baggage tags never showed up nor did the itinerary sheet. We had to go down to guest services to get them ourselves as did a bunch of other people. The staff would tell contradicting stories the day we left. Turns out since we carried off our own luggage we could have left with any group. First we were told no and then yes. The yes guy was correct. But we waiting for an hour before that became known. Was a real headache .
