Review summary
cruise staff very friendly and helpful. Captain out and about and accessible. Anthem is a very large ship so despite a full capacity it never seemed crowded. The casino is VERY small by anyone's standards, and if you play craps the odds are DEPLORABLE. the food is decent especially in the Grand and Chops, though we did have a good meal at Jamie's Italian on our second visit there. There are not many specialty restaurants, so think twice before selecting a dining package. Very nice and fun free options like the north star and free fly, reservations required. Also recommend placing your dining reservations BEFORE boarding as lines are L O N G and S L O W. Very slow on boarding process as well. We sat in line in our car for about 1 hour despite having a reservation for arrival time. Once through the car line though things moved VERY quickly. Disembarkation was easy for us as we used the self carry option. Free entertainment was just so so except for the guitar player from their pay for, Rock of Ages show (his last show was on our cruise so sadly others will be denied his magnificence). The solarium is a must for adults. Wish every ship had this available. The piped in music was a little loud and too current for my fast.
