Review summary

We paid $2942.84 for two, paid $232.99 for Insurance, one week before sailing I had emergency surgery for ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysm, my wife filed all the forms for the insurance, we spoke to several representatives but as of this date we have not received our refund, we have had to pay interest to our credit card company. We are platinum members and would appreciate any assistance.  George Fenwick

I am not sure if it's similar or helpful. But had an issue with a store branded credit card once when it was used for fraud. They called me a liar and told me I traveled 6 states to make a $230 purchase. Anyway I filed a complaint in writing through federal credit bureau, and within days got a call and apology from cc card company with an immediate charge back. So maybe it's similar in that you have to send them something in writing, post in the Better buisness bureau website, or maybe there is another. They can say whatever over the phone. But apparently a written demand letter or something being posted onto a protection website can get them to listen. Good luck and glad you survived!

Don't give up. That's what they are banking on. I got insurance on a trip once about three years ago and haven't received compensation as of yet. I have given up on it and considering it a loss. My circumstances where different, so don't give up. Keep on them.

Definitely call your insurance company you have the policy thru! Keep on them for an answer.

This isn't RCI. We are just cruisers like you. Call RCI and/or the insurance company.
