Review summary

The trip was great. Boarding was horrible; it took us 2 and half hours. Book everything you can as soon as you arrive on the ship. Everything books up quickly including, dinner, shows, and activities.

It's a horrible port. Arrive early at the terminal because the lines back up very quickly.

We boarded within 20 minutes, had everything else booked 2 months before.

Thank you for the review. I know NY in generally is rough with traffic, so I appreciate the feedback. It all does depend on if the ship is on time to disembark and when they clear the ship before they let people on.

There are still many people exiting the ship at 1030 am. I have arrived most times around noon and while it may be a more popular time...it is less chaotic because you don't have people being picked up and dropped off at the same time

We arrived around 9:30 and encountered only minimal inbound traffic. Our boarding was delayed until almost noon, so the building probably got much fuller than normal, but I would guess no later than 10:30 to minimize traffic.

What time would you suggest I arrive at the terminal to minimize being stuck in traffic?

Arrive early if you don't like waiting in traffic. Of course, you then get to wait in the terminal building. So it's a trade-off.
