Review summary

The ship is beautiful, and huge.  But all they did was add extra cabins.  Which added extra people and left the majority with no place to go.  The only room that had a view of the ocean was Two70. It's a beautiful room with a beautiful view off of the back of the ship, but they did so many shows in this room the windows were not available.  You have to make reservations to attend any of the shows too.  If you don't book an on board activity on these larger ships before you get on board, you will NOT be able to once you're on board.  They fill up extremely quickly.  This includes your dynamic dining dinner reservations, your sports activities, your spa treatments, and any shows you'd like to see. Be prepared!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

The menu didn't change in The Grande. It was the same all week.

Entertainment

The shows really weren't that great and we had to sneak into one to see it. Again, book everything you want to do on board BEFORE you board or you won't get to do anything on the ship. This includes any Spa treatments you'd like.

Ship Quality

Super, awesome, amazing clean ship! But the design was lacking. All they did was add more cabins. The actual activity areas are smaller. For example the roller skating, basketball, and bumper cars all take place in the same spot. So each activity only runs for 3 - 4 hours daily. With all of the extra people on board and the activity areas smaller, you couldn't take part in any of the activities unless you booked BEFORE boarding the ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

The cabin was very clean and had nice decor. The bed was as hard as a rock. We had to request a pillow top be added. The only pillow tops they had were feather, so the fluff only lasted for so long before it went flat again.
