Review summary

This cruise gave me a chance to see all the places I was interested in. Since the port nearest to Salzburg is so far away, I would recommend a 2nd night there to get the full experience of that area.

Staff greeted us immediately to take our luggage on board.

Main dining food was fair. Five to seven course meals each night, chef suggestions plus other meals if you did not want the meal of the night. Featured entrees was local to the food of the country we were in. Lunch was the same way.

Children's programs were not necessary on this type of cruise.

The room was lovely but the twin beds were true twins (very narrow for adults) and hard as a rock. One bed was against a wall which I kept banging into during the night. Not fun.

We spent the last night in Vilshofen. We could get off the boat but this town is very small and not much to do. It's a short distance to Passau if you want to go back there for a more active area to visit.
