We had a very nice four day cruise as an introduction to the Oasis class Royal Caribbean ships. We will definitely consider again, especially with a Perfect Day at Coco Cay on the itinerary. Our favorite part of the cruise that is different from other cruises we have been on is the theater production of Mama Mia.

Food and Dining

We ate most evenings in MDR at the early seating. The food was good. The dining room manager was very attentive and re-seated us after we were uncomfortable with our seats. Our servers were excellent. We only ate once in the WindJammer and ended up taking our food to our room. It was breakfast time and it was a zoo, jam packed full of people with no place to sit. Ate in the MDR for breakfast after that and tried several of the smaller venues for lunch which were good. Ate one night at Giovanni's which was excellent. I had an outstanding filet mignon and my husband had the ossobucco which was also excellent.
Onboard Activities

The Solarium area was very nice, though pretty crowded even on a port day. The little swimming pool up there was so cold no one was braving it. We really enjoyed the walking track which was open air but shaded all the way around and nice and wide. We enjoyed the Barbie movie in the very comfortable theater.
Entertainment

We were wowed by the Mama Mia production--great singing and acting. The ice skating was top notch too. The diving show had great dives and stunts but we weren't impressed by the music and lack of engaging storyline, unlike the skating show which paired the skating with the lyrics of the music.
Service and Staff

Service was great everywhere.
Ship Quality

The Allure is showing some minor age, rust around the edges in places, but it is very clean.
Cabin / Stateroom

We loved our central park balcony. The central park area isn't a high traffic area so it was a calm scene. We had very moderate weather, so the temperature both in the room and on the balcony was comfortable. We had a typical very firm to the point of being uncomfortable mattress. The size of the cabin was decent for the two of us. There were a few times when the music got a little loud and seeped in.
Ship tip
We had a guarantee cabin and were okay with our location, but the hallways are LOOOONG, and if I had chosen a cabin it would be closer to the elevators.
Really enjoyed COCO CAY. Food was good there and we went a little later in the day, ate lunch and then found a lounger on Chill Beach right on the water.
