Review summary

Great trip even after a change in the itinerary due to weather. Again, it’s obvious that Royal is trying to save money on the food expenses and it shows. We are long time cruises with RC but we’ll be looking elsewhere for our next trip.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
The best ever. Quick and seamless.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Subpar. I tried the New York Steak and it was filled with grizzle and no taste. My wife had the beef tenderloin that was too tough to eat. It’s pretty obvious that RC is using lower quality beef in the Main Dining room in an effort to push everyone to the Specialty Dining at a higher fee. Very Disappointed. Windjammer had fewer choices than ever and food there too was below standard. Better food would be found at a Golden Corral.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
This ship had less things to do than comparable Oasis Class ships such as Symphony of the Seas. No slides. No robotic bar. They did have a separate, smoke free casino that we enjoyed very much though it was very small with limited games.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Shows were great.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All of the staff were great. Not a single issue with any of the staff.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Great.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Smaller than same 4D class on Symphony. Not sure why.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Very smooth.
