Review summary

The cruise itself was great, but it took multiple visits to Guest Services to straighten things out. My first 2 drinks were charged to me despite my new sea pass card saying I had the drink package. The bartenders said they'd remove the charge but they didn't. Then Guest Services said they'd remove the charges but they also didn't. I didn't realize untill the last night when I asked for a print out of my bill because it didn't show on the app. The charges were finally credited when I complained on the last day for the charges multiple people promised me would be fixed before that.

It went smoothly for most our party, but for some reason my information wasn't in their computer at the check in desk even though I had the sea pass on my phone. I had to go to their exception's desk where they printed me a generic room key card that had none of the extras I had previously paid for shown on their key card. They told me I'd have to go to guest services once on the ship to get a new key that showed I had paid for the drink package and key program. Once on board they reprinted a sea pass card for me that showed the correct information. I was told a computer glitch caused quite a few people to have similar problems but I don't know if that was really the truth.

I was always able to find something at the buffet when I went there, but we also ate at Johnny Rockets for breakfast on sea days. We probably liked Giovannis the most out of the restaurants we tried. We also had dinner at Sabor and the 150 Park Restaurant which were both fine.

The cabin was fine for 2 people and their were no problems with it.

We carried our own bags so it should have been fine, but once again I was the only member of our party to be stopped at the gangplank. I had to go once again to guest services where they said my credit card wasn't on file. It was the same card used to pay for multiple cruises in the past as well as 2 upcoming cruises and was always on file before. I showed them the card and it was fine. I just wish it was mentioned to me on any of my other trips to guest services when I questioned my account. They always blamed a computer glitch and never mentioned they needed my card again or I would have fixed things before they needed to stop me on the way out. I know next time to ask a lot more questions when they say they are taking care of any issues related to my account. The customer service people always just seemed baffled when I had a problem and said they'd fix things but didn't.

Appreciate your detailed feedback. I think every cruise is a learning experience. Sometimes it’s just a tiny thing. In your case a major issue and I will learn from you and avoid the same situation (I hope). Glad you enjoyed your cruise in spite of the hiccups.

Thanks for sharing your cruise experience. Looks like you had a nice cruise. Glad the hiccups you had with your sea pass card and credit card didn’t ruin your cruise. I had the same issue one time when my drink package didn’t show up on my card. Guest services said it showed it had been cancelled on my account. My husband’s was fine. It took some back and forth with guest services and the home office in Miami to get it rectified. This happened on Allure’s first cruise back after the Covid shut down. I think that was the reason for the mixup. We still had a fantastic cruise.
