Review summary
BOARDING: Once we completed our check in on the Royal App, and completed the safety check in, and Health screening the boarding process was a simple, drop off suitcases, walk on all done in 15 minutes. Suitcases to room after 3 pm. MEALS: We ate our first meal at the Giovanni restaurant, the meal was delicious 😋. Our room was ready by 1 pm and we relaxed in our cabin untill 4 pm and watched the ship sail away from our balcony. We ate every breakfast AND lunch AND SUPPER in the Coastal Kitchen and had a wonderful waiter named Carlos. Jason the MatraD put us with the same waiter Carlos at every meal at our favorite table overlooking the pool area. Carlos remembered our favorite foods and would offer suggestions on daily supper menu items. ROOM: Arghel took great care of us. Our cabin steward Arghel (Gel) was wonderful working around our rest/nap times to prove us a clean room and ICE twice a day. Gel checked on us and greater us every time he seen us out and about. His smile was wonderful ❤️ and personality was friendly. DUCKS: I hid Ducks AND Frogs around the ship and I HAD FUN hiding them and passing them out to young children. FYI there is a Great balcony overlooking CENTRAL PARK off the aft part of deck 9. Quiet sitting area to read, work puzzles, and drink coffee while people watching. Nadja and Mangesh (MJ) the Concierges greated us EVERY TIME we entered the suite lounge. Nadja and MJ took great care of us getting us into the heavily booked Momma Mia and the Water Aqua Show. Helpful hints you can watch the water shows from the DIAMOND LOUNGE on deck 11. 👌Embarkation
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
Chop's Grille
We ate lunch at Chops on day 7 and the service and food was excellent. Andrew, our waiter took great care of us getting us in and out in time for our scheduled show after lunch. Andrew gave suggestions where needed on our menu and drinks.
Coastal Kitchen
Since we were in a suite we were able to eat in the Coastal Kitchen EVERY DAY an as every meal. Supper required a reservation but Jason the MatraD was able to put us at the same table area, same water Carlos, and the same time most days. Carlos, our waiter was wonderful recommended foods to try and foods that matched our preferences.
Giovanni's Table
We made reservations at GIAVANIES on embarkation day. The service and food was outstanding. The waiter took great care of us.
