Bermuda is always a pleasure to visit. Lovely place, lovely people.

Ooof, where to start. I booked the sushi restaurant, Izumi, for the first night, thinking it would at its most fresh. We were served sushi that had a foul odor. Didn’t eat. Ate other dishes. One of our group got food poisoning and was sick all night.
At Giovanni’s Table, the Italian specialty restaurant, the food was very good (the best we had on AOTS). However, the wine list was the worst I’ve ever seen — and no Italian wines. None. Hopefully that has changed.
MRD — one evening I ordered a very good bottle of wine. The waiter brought the bottle to my side to approve it and he had switched the wine for a cheap bottle. Guess he thought this woman didn’t know her wine. When I said that’s not what I ordered, he took off without a word and reappeared with the good bottle 30 seconds later. Nice.
The dessert that night (crème brûlée) was inedible.
Buffet was ok, the usual.

Cabin / Stateroom

Well, this was a two-bedroom suite. (Look, you stay in whatever kind of cabin you want to. You do you, and I’ll do me.)
Having said that, it’s about the value of money. Months before this RC cruise, I was on NCL and spent the exact same amount on a suite, same route (NYC > Bermuda). The NCL suite was filled with amenities. Everything one could need. The AOTS suite had…a small bar of soap. (Stop right there. It’s not about the soap and the shower cap and the toiletries and the multiple wine glasses and the fresh ice every evening. It’s about what you get for what you spend.) Yes, I’ll probably go on RC again, but I won’t waste my money on a large suite.
