Review summary

Overall not a bad cruise, but definingly not the same as pre-covid. The food was the biggest let down. That is usually one of my favorite things about the cruise. The variety was there, but the over taste was just terrible. The shows are my second favorite thing and they appear to still be having staffing issues as the shows were few, small casts, and not really a production. I was impressed by the ice show and really enjoyed having the ice rink.

Embarkation

Amazing, well organized

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
On the negative side the food was bland and flavorless. Often ended up not eating what was brought. Long lines at windjammer. On the positive side the service was prompt and all requests were met with a smile. enjoyed the variety provided.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
Loved the outdoor activities and the indoor stuff was a good variety, enjoyed the game shows best as they had a great crew running them. Would have like a fee yoga class mid morning or at least a few additional things to do in the morning. Indoor music venues were a little loud and other than the ice show the headliners were a let down. The comedian in particular was terrible.

Children's Programs

No kids of my own

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
As aways the staff was amazing, happy, well mannered , customer service oriented. They always make the cruise so easy and wonderful!

Ship Quality

2 out of 5
Very clean ship and staff did a great job keeping thing up to snuff. Don't love the new center promenade, feels crowded and like a theme park instead of a nice cruise. No quick and easy grab food by the pool.. you have to go to windjammer.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Huge, clean, and well organized. In a decent location with minimal outside noise.

Ship tip

Try to avoid the promenade, not a lot there other than pizza and lots of crowds.

Ports of call

Galveston, Texas

4 out of 5
Good parking and transportation, but VERY expensive.

Cozumel, Mexico

4 out of 5
No excursion, but it is clean, safe and easy to access. There isn't much to do other than shop and all the stores have the same thing. I would suggest an excursion over just walking around otherwise just stay on the boat.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Easy and quick.

Appreciate your detailed feedback. Glad you enjoyed some of your cruise. Sorry it wasn’t up to pre-Covid standards. Not sure it will ever be.

Cruising is not the same as it was prior to Covid. With all of the complaints about bland or terrible food, it makes me wonder if people’s tastes were altered by Covid, so things don’t taste the same as they did previously.
