Review summary

The essence of experiencing vacationing in the Royal Caribbean was memorable and inviting that this would not be our first and last. The servers and the room attendant we dealt with were very welcoming and gave us five-star service. However, there is room for improvement in the following areas: embarkation process from the port of call back from the excursion to the ship, and the internet speed was terrible considering the cost you have to pay, enforcing some ship policies, etc. Nonetheless, overall, it was a great cruise experience!!!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
It was organized and smooth.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Th main dining room and specialty restaurants (particularly , Chops and Izumi were excellent, and the buffet was okay.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
The ship was at total capacity. The pools and the gym were not big enough. So we did not swim in the ship's pool at all. It's good that we went to Bermuda, and the beach was superb.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The entertainment was entertaining enough.

Children's Programs

My two children are 24 and 20 years old.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
They were all excellent; however, guest services needs a little more warmth and the gym personnel needs a lot of work.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
It was just a hassle if your stateroom is in deck 3, you have to go up a floor (such as deck and through the Casino) and down to get from the front (where the Lyric Theater is located) to the aft ( where the deck 3 main dining room is located) and vice versa of the ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Though it was small with our two twenty year olds, we enjoyed it. Though the room has some traces of a twenty year old ship, it was very clean and very comfortable.

Ship tip

If the ship is in full capacity, the pools can be crowded. The pools are not big enough. Go Early if you want to avoid crowds.

Ports of call

Cape Liberty (Bayonne), New Jersey

5 out of 5

Royal Naval Dockyard, West End, Bermuda

5 out of 5
The excursion we booked through RC of touring the island was fantastic. Paul, our driver and tour guide, was superb. Horseshoe Bay Beach - Bermuda is a must-go.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Organized and smooth.

Pools on ships will always be small. It is a weight thing. They cannot make them an adequate size to serve all the guests. If swimming in the pool is key to a good vacation, don't take a cruise. We all know they are small so decide if that's acceptable before booking a cruise. Then, no need to complain after.

Thanks for sharing your cruise.

Agree on the pool size. Ships can hold over 5000 passengers and they expect them to swim in a bathtub. Covid anyone? Thanks for sharing your cruise.

Ships are getting so big that the pools seem to be shrinking by some inverse ratio. At least most of the trip was good.
