Review summary

Mike, Felix and Sunhil in Sapphire dining room were phenomenal. Akilesh in Duck and Dog was so professional and thoughful. He always checked on us and know what we liked to drink. Our porter on deck 9 needs some training. He was forgetful at times about towels and seemed overwhelmed. Room service forgot about us on more than one occasion. I had to call to inquire about our breakfast. Renato music was awesome. Meljoy at Boleros was a great server. Funny and thoughful. Jefferson, the singer and drummer at boleros was so fun! He's a talented musician.

Ship tip

This cruise has vary heteronormative activities which can be unwelcoming to the LGBTQ Community. Comments during the 70's disco like "The ladies will love this (Macho Man)" The ice show only had heterosexual couples skating/dancing togethder. There was a Battle of the Sexes game show which could be confusing or unwelcoming to and LGBTQ or Non-Binary person. There are easy ways to make experiences like this more inclusive and keep them just as fun.

I’m not sure what was upsetting about Macho Man being proclaimed “one for you Ladies”. I guess they could have said “Ladies, gay men, and not so much for the lesbians” but that seems a bit extreme. Battle of the sexes may not work if you’re in a same sex relationship either, so don’t go. Plenty of other things to do. I don’t go to the “Friends of Dorothy” gatherings, but if I did I wouldn’t complain it wasn’t tailored to the straight community. I have zero issue with the LGBQT community but it’s only 3.5% of the population and very difficult to tailor every event onboard to their liking. Or any other groups liking. They shoot for the middle ground.

I'm sorry you felt excluded. You were invited, welcomed and treated the same as everyone else. That means you were included. No need to fly flags on what we all stand for or point out that we're different. That goes without saying. We're all just people trying to enjoy a vacation. We accept you- can you accept that? much love.❤️

Very likely, your Porter/Room Steward was overwhelmed by the number of Cabins that were assigned to him. They are all doing the best they can. Ships are short on staff.

Then perhaps you need to take a cruise that is solely dedicated to that.
