Review summary

We love cruising. We love everything about cruising. This was our 10th cruise, 4th cruise line, 6th ship. We had no issues with the ship. It was just absolutely absolutely overcrowded at capacity. I don't see how covid had anything to do with this except for long lines for food. Pool deck absolutely unacceptable. Could not find seating together and we were just 3 people. The ship should not hold close to 4000 people; maybe 2000 and that would be amazing.

Very easy in Bayonne except parking sucks for us on adventure now. Quick on and off. Very efficient.

MDR menus were so, so bad; so boring, bland, repetitive, this is not what I expect when cruising RCCL. Thank g*d we had early seating, My Time and late seating waited in unbelievable lines WITH reservations! Lines out doors, down hallways. That should never happen! Our servers Jose and Enrique and Maitre D Dragos were excellent. Windjammer HORRIBLE quality and selection of food, only one line ever allowed to enter, so unbelievable lines out doors, down halls and onto pool deck!!! Not good!! Why only one small pizza venue for 3000 starving people from 330pm to dinner? Makes no sense. Soft serve Ice cream only open from 11am to 6pm and again ONE server even though 2 machines, unbelievable lines, 700 kids in board, you do the math.

Main Dining Room

Very bad experience menu wise. Very boring and repetitive menu for a 5 night. Desserts seemed poor quality ingredients and too sugary. Not real chocolate or cream used in most desserts. Mississippi mud pie big let down, like cool whip/ jello recipe. Boo. Pavlova very good. Key lime too sugary. Not good recipes sadly.

Windjammer Marketplace

UNBELIEVABLE lines! Why??? Open more doors and allow more than one line. Food sub par, again, not what I expect when cruising. This isn't summer camp. Forget about servers getting you drinks if you have package, better just to go to bar.

Way too crowded! Get there to hog your chair early or forget it! Go and Anthem if you want to enjoy Solarium.

I can't say, couldn't get close enough to a pool. My hot tub loving daughter couldn't even get in one, she's 19, so she could get in any in solarium too. Way too many bodies for this size ship.

Service and Staff

Jose and Enrique in MDR awesome, Dragos, maitre D fabulous. They did all they could with these overcrowded conditions. Our stateroom attendant was so mean and nasty. Fought with me about 2 extra towels and bath mat. Why? Never introduced herself, didn't make up the room for 3 (?) , had to request that upper berth be lowered and made up for my daughter??? She never came at all one day. I've never experienced such a thing.

Ship Quality

We had zero issues with appearance or cleanliness. If there wasn't so many people on board, I would recommend this ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

Loved our cabin. Perfect size for 3. Balcony felt spacious. No complaints whatsoever. Love high decks and being forward. Shower really small! I'm tall and kept hitting my elbows.

Ship tip

Expect overcrowding and subpar food, and you won't be disappointed

Very lovely. Take ferry to st georges but check ferry schedule before you arrive! They've stopped ferry on Tuesdays, Fridays and weekends!!

@Shh813 where do you see that I'm complaining about everything. Open your eyes and read, I wrote a truthful, constructive review. Also, we booked this cruise 15 months ago back in March 2021, did you REALLY think any of us could have predicted covid would STILL be an issue now??? Come on.

With the ship being completely full the only problem I would think of there was not enough help. That is the problem on most ships. I really feel sorry for all of you that are complaining about everything. Really? You had to know that most things will never be the same as before Covid.

@OceanBreezeLid exactly! I don't understand everyone blaming covid. That's not responsible for overcrowding. I cannot understand what the issue is, do they somehow have more staterooms or have they somehow increased capacity since the ship was built??

We were on this cruise and I agree with 90% of what you said. Except our stateroom attendant Sharon was amazing, friendly and always came back to a clean room. The over capacity of people was unacceptable. I know they are back to full capacity but it was never like this with long lineups before covid. But we made the best of it and we were just glad to start cruising again.
