Review summary
We wanted a family vacation with children tims and adult time. We chose a cruise for that exact reason. Royal Caribbean representatives promised me at least 3 different times on 3 separate phone calls that they had a nursery for 6-36 month babies. They said it was added to deck 12 where the arcade used to be in April 2014. We booked this specific ship for that reason. Once aboard we discovered we had been uninformed. Instead of trying to help us salvage our short amount of vacation time, they tried to make us feel like this was our fault. That is not the case. Short of touring the boat myself prior to booking I am not sure how I could have gotten this right. I assumed that Royal Caribbean emoloyees would give me accurate information. Especially since I was promised a nursery by three separate individuals on separate occasions. The only thing they offered us was 20% off our next cruise that had to be taken within one year. Seriously??? You apologize to me for ruining my vacation by asking me to spend more money with you??? That is insane. They do not care that they messed up and the only thing I can do moving forward is to let everyone else know that if they mess up, they will not do one thing to correct it. You are just out of luck. Do not cruise with this line. Dishonesty and lack of ownership for this mistake can not be made up. I do not get that time back. It is gone.

We had planned to spend half of the time with our children and half without. It is not that I had to spend time with my children,(I would not have taken them if I did not want to spend time with them) but the fact that I had planned an entire trip around a guarantee that I could drop her off for snorkeling, hiking, dinner, etc. angers me. When a company is that misleading and does absolutely nothing to correct their mistake I think others should know so that they do not get the same misinformation. I spoke with two other couples with infants onboard that were told the same thing. If I was planning a trip I would appreciate the knowledge that #1 there is no nursery even if they say there is when you call and talk to them and #2 that they will do nothing to help fix the problem or even act sorry. I am simply trying to save others the hassle that I had to go through.

So unfortunate you were mis-informed by RCCL on the 3 occasions. But I have to ask, you make the remark "They would have been great if I did not have to hold my infnt the whole time because they lied about having a nursery onboard". Can I ask you why if you were so concerned about having to "hold" your infant the whole time you took him/her with you in the first place? It kind of sounds to me as if you wanted more adult time than family time on this cruise and in all honesty, what would your infant have remembered of the cruise anyway? Your review seems to direct your negativity towards the fact that you had to spend time with your child. You don't review your experience beyond the fact that that RCCL may have lied to you but how about the ship? The food? The ports? I find it hard to believe that your overall cruise was "RUINED" by the fact you had to be with your child on this cruise. I have no children so not recommending this cruise to me based on your review is null & void.

I can understand your frustration with the misinformation. Sorry to read that it ruined the cruise for you.
