My favorite part of the trip was the tour, lunch and wine tasting at Chateau Siuarac. This trip was really all about the wine. I would definitely recommend this cruise to my friends looking for a relaxing, safe vacation with very attentive service. I would recommend a three day visit to the Loire Valley either before or post cruise, to see the great Chateaux of France.

A Taste of Scandanavia & Russia
Ports of call with the exception of Frederica Germany were excellent and provided an opportunity to sample the culture and sights of Scandinavia & Russia. More time could have been allotted in Amsterdam and Berlin with less in Copenhagen. The ship itself was a perfect size enabling everyone to move around and disembark without confusion. Service and Food was good with several choices. Cabin size adequate. House band "Top Notch" outstanding although nightly show entertainment poor as it included local talent and "circus quality" performances. Shore excursions very expensive. Shopping on board adequate with the addition of some new "high end" shopping. Independent research on ports of call and private touring should be explored after booking. On the whole a very good cruise to take for someone who hasn't visited this area previously.

Never bored nor rush! Always had an interesting activity available with plenty of free time to just relax and take a deep breath. Daily lectures, line dancing, ball room lessons, pub trivia contests, great shows, refined upscale dining and casino 24/7. What's not to like?

Good for a Cold Winter Get A Way
Well appointed ship, good service and variety of dinner selections. Entertainment for the most part, especially guest entertainers was excellent. Cruise director outgoing and interesting. Ports of Call could use some changes. Havana rather then Grand Cayman. Weather outstanding. Some administrative difficulties to include failure to assign table requested prior to boarding; credit from cruise line was not applied; incorrect status resulting in incorrect billing and missing perks(Select rather than Elite assigned). Captain Club's hostess, Maila, was impersonal, indifferent and rude.

Larger Doesn't Necessarily Mean Better
While the ship was well appointed it lacked the necessary staff to properly handle the number of passengers. In addition common spaces in lounges and bars were insufficient, despite their number, to accommodate the crowds especially in the after dinner hours. Dining experience in the dining room was good for those of us who made our reservations in advance. Portions were larger then those on other cruise lines although many choices were repeated. The Garden Cafe was overcrowded and it was extremely difficult to find seating. Entertainment was good but the variety of shows was limited. This was our second sailing on Norwegian Cruise and doubt we would ever return again.
We did panoramic Athens and loved the history.
Great museum and guide.
Great museum and guide
Loved the Grand Bizaar and the Bosphorus River dinner cruise. Not enough time to vist Topkapi and the Blue Mosque.

From conversation with other passengers, we have learned that it is possible to secure a table for two and even request a window table when reservations are made and prior to boarding. It is imperative that these requests appear on your confirmation.
Libourne (Saint Emilion), France
A must visit to chateau Siaurac.
Viking Forseti
Don't be afraid to request a different wine with your meal than what is being served. They are very accommodating.

If you are thinking about making the crossing - just do it! We did it each way and look forward to doing it again.

The ship's Captain is absolutely wonderful. He is entertaining, friendly and an asset to the cruise itself.
