Cool Ports but Disappointing Weather by lkamitsis

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Ruby Princess / Destination: South Pacific

It's a good itinerary, but the seas can be rough and apparently missing ports like the scenic cruising is not uncommon. We didn't know that, so I would warn anyone about it in future.

Overpriced Viking Ocean Cruise by lakhbir1914

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Viking Orion / Destination: South Pacific - Australia

The 6-day pre-cruise "Best of Australia" was very disappointing. It was 2 days Melbourne, 2 days Alice Springs, 2 days Ayer's Rock. Would have been much better if 2 days Melbourne, 1-2 days Outback, 1-2 days wine regions, 1 day Sydney. The 4-day post-cruise was excellent, with 2 days Tongariro National Park and 2 days Auckland. The stops for lunch at local farms were outstanding, as was the visit to Waiheke Island.

Perfect itinerary for authentic polynesian experience by SandyElden

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Seven Seas Navigator / Destination: South Pacific

If you want a true polynesian experience, this itinerary on Regent Navigator is the cruisefor you. The captain, crew and staff kept us healthy, safe, clean, fed, entertained, and above all, happy. This cruise exceeded our expectations and that's what we want when spending our travel dollars.

Cold windy rain by MT72

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Norwegian Jewel / Destination: South Pacific - Australia

Beginning of December late spring on NZ South Island, still cold, windy rainy. NCL Shore excursions were poorly organized. Meeting in Stardust Theater was terrible. Lost too much time waiting before could leave ship. Don't book NCL shore excursions!

Best Cruise Ever by Feysan

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Wind Spirit / Destination: South Pacific - Tahiti

French Polynesia is drop dead gorgeous and Windstar service and food is the best we ever encountered. If you love water sports e.g. snorkeling, diving, jet ski, beaches, this is for you.

Sydney to Auckland cruise Nov 2019 by Cruiser48413696

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Solstice / Destination: South Pacific - Australia

It was a great cruise. For us there were too many sea days. We are better off with fewer sea days.

Trip of a Lifetime! by skibumss

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Solstice / Destination: South Pacific - Australia

We had a wonderful cruise, we started in Australia and thought it was great but when we got to New Zealand, we were blown away by its beauty, definitely the most gorgeous country we've ever visited! The Solstice was great from stateroom, food, and entertainment - Celebrity is the best.

Very good introduction to Australia/New Zealand by gkrissek

Realized how much there is to see in Australia and New Zealand. Wish there was a similar cruise that included NZ and Fiji.

Going from one iconic island to the next and yet finding each one to be quite distinct in culture, language, and products was an incredible delight.

Wonderful Cruise by Csauer

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Celebrity Solstice / Destination: South Pacific - Australia

We truly enjoyed this cruise, and we thought it was well organized and efficient when disembarking at ports. Just a side note on excursions....New Zealanders are “on their own schedule”,so if an excursion states it’s only 3 hours, it could, possibly, be much longer (which was the case on all our excursions). But, we never missed the ship’s departure!

Again the crew and passengers were very different than the first cruise we took on this ship; from not as courteousness or helpful.

Awesome Trip by sritacco

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Noordam / Destination: South Pacific

Overall, this was an excellent trip. We like sea days and had plenty of them. Ports were good for the most part, with some better than others. Food, crew, staff and atmosphere on the ship were superb. HAL is more like cruising should be instead of the mega-ships that want to bring amusements and the town atmosphere to sea instead of emphasizing the cruise aspect.

Traveling Around Australia by gflasch

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Sea Princess / Destination: South Pacific - Australia

We thoroughly enjoyed our cruise around Australia. We enjoyed visiting the various ports. The service was great. The only thing missing on the ship was good pizza, a free ice cream bar, and a larger tv in our interior stateroom. Other than that, it was a wonderful trip.

Amazing New Zealand Cruise! by carrieanderson7

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Majestic Princess / Destination: South Pacific - Australia

It was one of the best cruises we have ever taken. From the iconic Sydney Opera House to Tauranga’s Te Puia Thermal reserve and Maori Village recreation to the stunning Fjordland National Park and colorful Botanical Gardens in Wellington and Dunedin it was exciting, interesting and unique. The Majestic Princess is a beautiful ship, the rooms comfortable and the staff was attentive and friendly and the entertainment was wonderful!
