the staff was excellent. we enjoy the other people that we meet. we enjoy all the port of call.

The river boat cruise is enjoyable with only 120 passangers. The staff treats everyone like royalty during the entire trip. Excursions were around 3 hours with knowledgeable guides. Also the presentations from the WWll historian provided background for excursion to beaches. He was always available to answere ? and also provided extra information to guests personally.

i found the hair dryer outdated, very slow.... almost blew up captain night... it was mentioned that only a few were selected to sit with the captain which is understandable.... however, i don't believe that needed to be announced.... invite whomever you wish, no need to make the rest of the guest not as special. staff /crew were excellent..... friendly and always eager to help..... tips should have gone directly to them...... to the ones that served you....

This is the best, most enjoyable vacation we have ever had. Talked about doing it for years - finally did it. Excursions were by far the best way to see the cities. Well worth the money spent. Already planning another one - just don't know which one.

We had a wonderful week of sailing. We were so happy with the ship and the destinations. The staff and service were so special. We are looking forward to our next adventure with AMA Waterways!

We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our journey. We will definitely book another Viking cruise!

The crew and staff were all wonderful. They were engaging but not overbearing. The food was great. The excursions were more a taste of the ports rather than an immersion. So I feel I need to go back to some of the ports.

This was our first experience with a River Cruise. We are thinking on another one with Uniworld in 2020

Avalon's website does not adequately describe the tours. Listen carefully onboard because some require extensive walking. The sky grill or lounge were not open on our trip. Did have some deck chairs later in cruise. Tour guides for the most part were good at their job with a few exceptions. However there was rarely enough time on your own. Ship cleanliness is a priority with Avalon. Their bar stock is somewhat limited. Staff is very friendly.

The most difficult part of the cruise is having it come to an end. It was one of those trips you always hope for but don't always get. Could not have asked for anything better, even the weather was great.

i reiterate the cruise was good for the price. but before taking it be sure to look over the amenities etc online or in the brochure. pay particular attention to what the ship has to offer to ensure that is what you want

The Tulip Time cruise was a good mixture of tulips, history and art.

Most favorite cruise we have taken. Great ship, great tour guides, great excursions, great food.

AMA does a great job. One tiny excursion that was a waste of time (Gengenbach).

I loved the cruise and all the ports. However, I may lean toward a cruise line that actually maintains a group for slow walkers/handicapped individuals.

I celebrated my 60th birthday with 3 of my Gal Pals. We were called the Texas Group - Boots and all!! Every one was wonderful, food was wonderful. We even had the Hershey Wine company on board.

We booked this cruise almost 2 years ago. It finally arrived this month. From the ease of checking in, our rooms are ready and the food was available for us to eat. The staff in the dining room, the bar and the state room attendants all did an excellent job. Program director Dave it was fabulous. Always available. We can't say enough good things about our Viking River boat cruise. This was our most relaxing vacation ever. Thanks

Loved it and highly recommend. The ship, staff, and tours were all exceptional. The only disappointment was the food in the Main Dining Room. I will definitely consider AmaWaterways for a future cruise!
