Excellent trip on interesting route by Florianabivona

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Star Legend / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

Would pick again for some routes but not all. Marina deck a big plus but would not be deployed in, say, Iceland.

Disappointing for such an amazing itinerary. by Jeves

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Azamara Journey / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

Would recommend another cruiseline since there are so many. We cruised Azamara because we thought it would be better than Celebrity. It was not.

Relaxing Arabien Cruise by PetraKnosova

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Celebrity Constellation / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

The end of voyage was disappointing becouse my husband had forgotten his Casmir hat in the cabin. When I came back in the afternoon, all the way from Yas Island by taxi, the staff told me that nothing has been found. For 100% we know, it was in cabin, so can not just dissapear. Never happened to us in any hotel or cruise, if something been forgoten in cabin or room, always we get it back!

Azamara will be our first choice for cruising from now on. Service, food, destinations and experience were the best.

"Super Ship with a Super Crew" by greekvine

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Ovation of the Seas / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

Overall this ship and crew are magnificent, only irritant being the long journey for a smoke. Would definitely return to Ovation of the Seas, RCCL seem to have gotten most things correct here.

Worst cruise experience ever!!! by kincp

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Sapphire Princess / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

Total disappointment!!! The cruise line had sold large amount of cabins to a group of uneducated people. Some of them acted like scavengers!! Inconsiderate for others. It was the worst cruise experience we had ever had!!

Great Middle East Adventure by sminnie

Cruise overall was excellent. Excursions which you had to pay for were extremely good. All guides were excellent. Service in all restaurants was good, except it was sometimes slow at lunchtime.

Worst Cruise we ever had by PJP1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Volendam / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

It was our worst cruise ever by a mile. Holland America didn't inform us that we needed visas for China so that pretty much devastated our cruise. And whenever we tried to ask for help or for an alternative, the Front Desk ignored us and simply said, "the manager is working on it." On the second to the last day, we received a voicemail stating, "there's nothing we can do." We're still very hurt and very upset over what happened. That should never happen to anyone - there should be all kinds of warnings from Holland America from representatives, in notices, and within the on-line system stating that YOU NEED A VISA FOR CHINA!!!

I and my family are satisfied with the whole trip excepting the experience at Phuket. It was good for family trip with young children. All meals provided, no need to carry and move everywhere, but just arrived at another port during sleep, many activities.

Asia Cruise by Mathilde1293

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Majestic Princess / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

OVerall good experience. The most negative was the public restroom situations with clogged public ladies toilets all the time. I have also witnessed the custom of spitting asian passenger on the carpet. Praise for the ship physician whom I had to visit, unfortunately.

Room disaster by rlheafner

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Majestic Princess / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

We loved this new ship and is design. The ports of call were great and the tour guides were knowledgeable. Our main dining room and waiters were the best of our previous 13 cruises.

Our only problem was that our United cruise agent was provided false information by Princess cruises sales and we then ended up with a 293 person lifeboat with a two foot tower for the crew driver to see out of directly in front of our balcony door. This was a total shock and totally unacceptable. Majestic Princess guest services didn't seem to care as it was a princess cruises sales problem. No alternative room became available during this 28 day cruise even thou many individuals got off at the different port visited and Princess cruises did not even have the courtesy to advise us that they were sorry that nothing became available. Although this cruise now gives us Platinum states I am not sure we can feel comfortable using Princess again.

Mideast Experience by reilly978

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Seven Seas Voyager / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

Total cruise was terrific. ship was great and service outstanding.

Tours were good in general but had a few issues

Pre and Post cruise hotel arrangements could do with some improvements - long delays in getting rooms etc and in boarding buses

food was super

Ports of call were really interesting and provided learning experiences

It was a trip of a lifetime! by paullea76

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Ovation of the Seas / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

It was an overall excellent experience. The staff, our stateroom, the ship, the food, the entertainment...it was all outstanding. The cruise ship stops were excellent. I wish we could have spent more time in Seoul, South Korea, but I loved the time we had in South Korea. I would recommend this experience to anyone and everyone.

Ovation of the Seas - Asia repositioning cruise by CLTcruisers

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Ovation of the Seas / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

Large, attractive ship with nice staterooms and public areas. Outdoor decks, long jogging track, rock wall, North Star, iFly, surfing area, and roller rink were nice extras.

Entertainment and shore excursions have been much better on other cruises we have taken.

Staff was friendly and helpful.

I will never go on a Royal Caribbean cruise again! by butcho

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Vision of the Seas / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

My favorite part of the cruise was meeting and getting to know other people on the cruise.  My least favorite part of the cruise was the food in the main dining room.  We sat at a table for 6 and every one of us did not like most of the food.  For example we had a shrimp cocktail  and when it arrived we were amazed.  There were 4 shrimp in every one's dish and the shrimp were about as big as a quarter and there was no red sauce on the shrimp.  Most of the fish dishes smelled fishy and had to be sent back.

Our waiter was terrific and took back all of the food that he was asked to.

Every time we turned around there was another fee.  When we left the ship for an excursion they asked us if we would like to BUY a bottle of water.  Every cruise I have been on has given the water for free.  I have bought many cases of water at home depot at the price of 16 cents per bottle so I know that when they were charging $2..00 per bottle we likened that to highway robbery. A regular size bottle of diet coke was $3.00
