Ship was blah. Entertainment crew was phenomenal by tmarden62

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Splendor / Destination: Mexico

The entertainment crew made this trip great. The ship itself was not worth the money but the fun squad made up for it.

Great cruise but because of our balcony cabin location, no sleep! by livesalesonline

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Splendor / Destination: Mexico

Our cabins were located exactly underneath the galley for The Grill. The noise all day and all night was very very loud. Complaints to Guest Services brought assurances that they would, "talk to the food & beverage staff, manager etc." but day after day (including calls to guest services at 4:30am when the noise was worst), made no difference. They kept offering us free excursions which we rejected as we wanted to SLEEP! Finally toward the end of the trip they gave us an onboard credit and a certificate for 15% off a future cruise (??). We told them thank you but that it did not make up for a week without proper sleep (and we were traveling with a 3 year old). They apologized a lot but were unable to solve the issue. The noise was very loud, people dragging things across the floor and banging metal against metal. Also employees talking very loudly. Not a good cruise we were exhausted at the end!

LESS THAN EXPECTED by cdrsix

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Seven Seas Navigator / Destination: Mexico

ADEQUATE, BUT DID NOT MEET EXPECTATIONS. I HAVE CRUISED REGENTS FOUR TIMES AND THIS WAS THE VACATION I WISH I HADN'T TAKEN EXCEPT FOR THE SHORE EXCURSIONS. THIS WAS MY FIRST TIME VISITING THE PACIFIC COAST OF MEXICO AND WAS EXTREMELY NICE.

It’s a good for first time cruise, not good for people who Are knowledgeable about ships. I was a seaman for six years. by junior74

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Imagination / Destination: Mexico

Overall trip it was just ok, I didn’t like the port in Mexico, not enough entertainment, especially rock music it was played in a small space can’t even dance. The food in the lido dining, the deserts cake were to dry . I love English breakfast it was good. I have worked for the Queen Marry so my expectations were to high . Unfortunately this ship did not met them. It’s a good ship for parents traveling with kids not for people who wants to relax and have fun. Pool were over crowded lido dinning it was always over crowded especially when we come from shore in Mexico. I don’t think I want travel with the same ship again. I will try other Carnival ship but not carnival imagination.

Perfect short excursion by HolidayCruiser

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Inspiration / Destination: Mexico

Excellent service. It was a nice little trip. Sit down dining option had excellent food. We bought the cheers option for unlimited drinks and it was worth it, even though we never got close to the cut off.. definitely recommend this trip as a short excursion to get away and relax. Also, embarking and disembarking was a pleasant process. Lines were a little long for disembarkment, but can't complain. Our cruise director, nono, had boundless energy, she definitely added to the lighthearted environment.

We don’t want any booze! by krystyna645

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Inspiration / Destination: Mexico

A wonderful time overall. The food was delicious and a lot of variety. We had so much fun with the on board activities and shows. The only problem is the attitude the staff had when we declined drinks. They were totally rude and very off putting. Our service we received after declining was awful too. If you have to drink to have a pleasant cruise experience that’s ridiculous. Please retrain your staff!

Should have been a Wonderful Baja Cruise by BubbaMac

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Inspiration / Destination: Mexico

Friday was good, food was good, Restaurant service was good, bars were good. No complaints for Friday. Saturday sucked, food was mediocre at best, Buffet service was meh, was looking forward to relaxing on the Serenity Deck with the Hot-tubs unfortunately some very obnoxious, rude, annoying, and loud people blaring music had other intentions on the Serenity deck. Called Guest Services who sent Security(who were gutless wonders), Security did nothing and wondered off like scared whimps, Called Guest Services again, who sent Security again- Security told those rude people to quiet down and turn off the music as it was not allowed on the Serenity deck. Security left and they turned it back on, Next I called Security directly and told them to get to the Serenity deck now. Security shows up a 3rd time, who told them again to turn it down, then Security left and they turned it back on again. Finally went directly to Guest Services to file a formal complaint (Guest Services wouldn't even take the complaint) even after they called Security and verified with them the situation. I requested that they provide me a credit or show some sort of an apology for their complete and total disrespect and lack of concern for us and our trip. They said they would forward the information to the people in charge and contact me back that day - THEY NEVER DID. Sunday was better, all the idiots were off the ship in Ensenada so the ship was quiet and we could enjoy some time on the Serenity deck. Monday, we got back to the Long Beach port and Still NOT A WORD from Guest Services. Proving that Guest Services is as useless and chicken as the Ships Security personnel.

3 days on this cruise was long enough by cschwarze

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Imagination / Destination: Mexico

The Staff was excellent besides one that was almost non-existent during dinner on our 2nd night. I wish I could remember all of their names. Our steward, Suputra greeted us immediately and the photos were suprisingly fun to do! It was my first cruise celebrating my husbands birthday and we had a good time. The shore excursion to Ensenada was a bit disappointing but not exactly sure what to expect. The ship looked dated, stuck in the 90's and it was a 'party ship'. Lots of single people causing a ruckus partying and cursing and drinking all day. Lot's of wedding bachelor/bachelorette parties. Wish the ship could've sectioned kids/families to the front and the party people in the back or vice versa. Thought the pool was going to be bigger? My daughter wanted to go swimming in the hot tub but there were always drunk adults in them so the pool areas were pretty sad. Wish it had different sections. ie: kids pool area , so that the kids could be kids and not subject to drunk belligerent adults.

4 day Ensenada and Catalina Island by doug111980

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Inspiration / Destination: Mexico

Embarking at Long Beach was a breeze since there was only one cruise ship docked that day. Early boarding started at 11:30am. Food was delicious and dinner in the restaurant dining room had a special each day(dishes that spotlight the port of call). Don't forget to bring Dramamine for motion sickness and ointment for sunburn.

Amazing experience by Nate51

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Splendor / Destination: Mexico

The cruise was great , the only thing I will like to change is that the Latin group perform in a designated room during the entire cruise...NOT at mid ship, that location is way to crowded. Logistically it's a nightmare location way to much traffic.
