favorable. very clean . non american service not what we expected , welcome relief.

Easy layout of the decks. Lots of activities. Automatic tipping.

This was our first cruise (my almost 22 year old daughter) and myself. The ship was lovely and easy to get around. Our outside stateroom was very nice with plenty of room for all of our belongings and we loved the balcony/deck! Seeing the lava flow at night was awesome!

We recently sailed on the Pride of Aloha and I am sorry to say it was not everything we hoped for. The food was of poor quality and we found the servers attitude very poor. We did enjoy the French Bistro and Japanese Restaurants very much but had to pay a cover charge to enjoy them. The cabin had a balconey and was very nice size but the room was not as clean as it could be and they never changed the sheets the whole week we were on the ship. The cruise director was Fantastic and all the entertaiment was very enjoyable. This was our first experience with NCL and I can't say I will try them again.

Excellent cruise, good entertainment, and fabulous food. Our cabin stewart was wonderful and the towel animals a great surprise each evening ;} . The dolphin excursion on Kona was very excellent and worth the value. Check out the private tours for better value for your money, longer excursion and more information on the islands.

Our "dream" ship was very big and very beautiful. The decor was fabulous and such a pleasure to just walk around and look at everything. Everyone, guest and crew, were very friendly and we met some really nice people from all over the U.S. Our stateroom was kept immaculate and the service was exceptional. It was great to have the daily activities posted the night before so we could plan our days.

This was out first cruise on a Princess ship. It was very well maintained. Laundry rooms not located central enough within the ship. The embarkation and debarkation process was executed very swiftly. There was a wide variety of entertainment; a lot of choices from which to choose. We enjoyed the anytime dining choice. The card room was nice, but normally always full.

Our ship was old and our cabin was not kept clean. We have cruised on other cruise lines and were very pleasedwith these curise lines. This is the first time we sailed with NCL. I would have perfered to have sailed on a newer NCL ship I think the Wind was in need of dry dock. The rumor is that it was being sold to be made Casino.

It's a beautiful ship with alot of possibilities and very little return

The ship was new and the staff was friendly. The service, however was poor, except for the specialty restaurants. One day our room was not even cleaned. The first night in the Alizar dining room, we had 7 people waiting on us in a very haphazard fashion. Often it seemed as if the staff was overwhelmed. Despite this, we enjoyed the ports and the specialty restaurants. If you do go on this ship, be prepared for long waits for dining at night. Many people were complaining. The embarkation and disembarkstion were smooth. The shows included one illutionist who was on for 3 nights, one broadway show and two talent shows; the crew and passengers. For the money paid, I felt it was only a so-so cruise. This was my 29th cruise on nine different lines

cruise was very good but did not compare with princess cruise to Alaska or Medetranian, which were better in comparison.

Serving staff had little knowledge of food or wine -- even in the wine bar and specialty restaurants.

The ship was very good overall.

The best way to visit several islands.

I had an excellent time on this cruise. It was a great value for all the sights we we able to see.

The overall staff was very distant and unconcerned about the satisfaction of the guest on the ship. Hospitality was definately not a concern, it was more like getting a cattle herd on and off and or fed. The freestyle was very disappointing, all resturant served the same menu and there were four that were included in the original price(one which only seated 34 people and you had to make request to be seated at least two hours after your arrival. The remaining resturants all required an additional charge and reservations...if you could get someone to answer the reservation line. House keeping seemed to always be behind and had little concern about caring for the guests. A better name would have been free for all rather than freestyle. If not for the ports I would rather just stayed in a hotel.

We liked that the ship went past the active volcano at night as we were leaving port and also the ship went along the Na Pali coast when leaving Kauai. Both the trips were out of the way for the ship to the next port.

Overall everything was great, the service was very good, the entertainment great. The only negative point was that there was a sewer smell on public places and in stateroom for several days of the trip.

Upon arrival we were greeted nicely, mind you, we had just flown 10 hours and has been up for over 20 at this point. There was a short wait due to processing our room assignments and then I was given a beautiful lei and our pictures were taken. I usually don't like that part especially when one looks terrible after such a long journey. Our rooms were neat and clean and we were greeted again by our caretakers, they were very nice. They kept us well informed about everything and the cruise director was great. The entertainment was fabulous, food terrific and we just loved Captain Lairs. He was informative and funny as well. I knew the ship was smaller and I would prefer traveling on a larger ship the next time. I was not impressed with the interrior and not having a grand entry way made for a rather different mood. All in all, the crew was very helpful and we would travel again with NCL for the fact that we enjoy the freestyle dining experience.

This cruise was the best cruise of the five we have taken. The ship is a little smaller than a lot of the new megaliners. It held about 1700 passengers but it was clean and well kept. Our stateroom had a balcony and was quite spacious and comfortable. The Italian Restaurant had outstanding food. In fact the food in general was excellent. The thing that really distinguished this cruise experience was the open friendly nature of all of the staff. From the room stewards to the Captain everyone was so friendly and concerned about you and making sure that you were having a good time. The entertainment was outstanding. Karen, the lead singer in the show cast, has an unbelievable voice, powerful with superior range and clarity. Fred, the pianist in the piano bar had an unlimited repertoire and interacted with those in the bar between sets. His knowledge of music and music history was superior. The gift shops were run by extremely capable, and again, friendly staff. Julietta, in the jewelry shop made my wife's trip memorable, with a little help from me. After 35 years of marriage this was finally the honeymoon we had never gotten around to and NCL made it most memorable.
