Great trip to Norway by briancory

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Serenade of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Northern Europe

Peter provided excellent service for our cabin, and Joseph D'Souza, and Mohamad Haerudi were excellent in the main dining room. We enjoyed Giavanni's and the service (food was excellent), however Chops was not as good--the food was excellent but the service was average. The Casino staff (Marcela, Adriana, Victor etc--I know I am leaving many of them out but those not mentioned were the best as well) was the BEST--excellent with our group, and fun to be around. The Bartenders in the Schooner Bar and the Casino were excellent. We enjoyed the entertainment, especially the magician and the Beatles Maniacs. Jamie and his staff (Tammy for instance) were fun/excellent. How do they keep the energy going all day long? We had a great trip. Thanks for everyone's effort, service, and interest in seeing our group have a good time. Good luck on your future Sailings. Thank you.

Beautiful Ports, Beautiful Ship by carolbletz

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Koningsdam / Destination: Europe - Northern Europe

The ship is beautiful, clean, well appointed. The food service, quality and taste was superb in the dining room and specialty restaurants but close to poor on the Lido. We have been on other Holland cruises where the Lido food and selection/taste was far better. We ate breakfast in the Lido when we were in port and anxious to disembark to enjoy the stop but that was it. Badly organized too.

This trip was my fortieth birthday treat and Norwegian made it exceptional. We had a lovely time and have been recommending it to all of our friends.

Western Europe by vrojo

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Epic / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

Very nice cruise, but very busy if you book a tour at each port of call. Next time I'd take a day off from tours and relax!

Okay if you are not traveling with young children by kchocho

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: MSC Divina / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

Overall a basic cruise, but not met my expectations as I traveled with 3 small children, 3 grandparents and my spouse and it was just not small kid friendly. If it had just been adults or even just my spouse and I, it would have been better. There was no "down-time" as every day was a new port and no real activities for the little ones.

This is Italian! by tans444

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Lirica / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

Food was beautifully presented but was bland. A real shame! The waiters were super attentive! Cabin crew were so friendly and could not do enough to please us passengers. The buffet was always so crowded and people pushed and shoved and and finding a table free was almost impossible. Too many passengers for too little space at Buffet

Average Food •Terrible Excursion Staff •Fantastic Shows •Super Cabin Steward •Clean ship •Good ports by jlinnote

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Epic / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

It was a lovely cruise, but only because we were motivated to not let anything get in our way of celebrating our 35th anniversary. Being left on top of Mount Serrat (we were literally 2 min. late) was the last straw. I wouldn't cruise again on Norwegian again due to the rude and insulting NCL excursion staff. They would literally yell at us every day during the poorly explained excursion process. People didn't understand the process because the process is seriously FLAWED. The food in the NON specialty restaurants was better than the specialty ones so don't waste your $. We ate at Tepanyaki, Le Bistro and La Cucina and were disappointed. Shows were great and the ship was clean but we will never trust NCL again. We have cruised on Celebrity, Royal and Carnival and will stick with them - more reliable, professional, good food and kinder more attentive staff.

Great ports - mediocre ship by Longcruise

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Norwegian Breakaway / Destination: Europe - Northern Europe

Overall, the ports were great but the ship was a disappointment. Unlike prior cruises where there were nice areas where passengers could sit and view aft or forward, there was very limited common area seating inside. The water slide and ropes course were wasted space in our opinion. Also, I'd recommend looking into arranging private excursions versus the high priced NCL excursions. The two we took were disappointing. Be very careful when booking your cabin. We'd recently been in a mini-suite on a smaller ship and found it nice so we booked one on this trip. Originally we had a mini-suite on deck 10 with an aft balcony that was very large, but we changed it when we discovered it was intended for wheelchair passengers. Our daughter was on deck 14 so we switched to a mini-suite on that deck. We didn't realize, though, that this meant we'd have a much smaller cabin than if it was on a lower deck. The cabin was almost identical to my daughter's balcony cabin except that it had a bigger bathroom. If I'd realized this, we would have booked on a lower deck or changed to a balcony cabin. It definitely wasn't worth the price.

Okey Northern Europe Baltic Cruise by chng

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Breakaway / Destination: Europe - Northern Europe

Food quality is so so. Not much of a variety. Exact same menu at the Mahattan Dinning Room every evening. Entertainment is below average. Seafood night has shrimp and fish. Crab and Lobster are nowhere to be found. Room cleanliness is average.

Great vacation on NCL by idabtst

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Breakaway / Destination: Europe - Northern Europe

Fun and we covered 6 countries in 10 days. Learned much of the cultures of each country. Great cruise except for the soap dispenser on all public restrooms that took forever for the liquid soap to come out. This has to be resolved.

We loved Europe! by rayrussell

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Reflection / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

Second time on The Reflection. Amazing ship, Only concern is that at the ports we visited, the ship was a long way from any type of town or city. I feel that the cruise company should arrange better transportation to and from. Either cover the cost or perhaps arrange tenders.

Not all that I expected.... by ammiesu

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Independence of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Western Europe

The ship is renovated and beautiful astheticly. Its clean and large and the shops are high end. The service and attention to detail when it comes to experience is what's lacking. This is my 9th cruise and rates about a 4 for me with what my expectations were vs what I received.
