Not quite up tp Viking standards. by celentms2000

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Viking Saturn

This cruise, while we had high expectations given the ports, was not up to our expectations. Given it's a new ship, the wait staff was not up to the par we had experienced previously. Also, spending the evening of the 31st, and the full day of the 1st was very poor. Most of the time we sat in the sea, barely moving, while had the ship traveled st normal speed we would have been able to have a second full day in Barcelona. This in particular was a very poor decision on the part of the cruise planners, and obviously done for reasons other than the distance between ports, which was not conveyed to the passengers.

A good basic inexpensive trip by tmhtruong

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Fantasia

All cities are clean and with almost no homeless. Felt safe to walk around (but always be wary) and they all have a good Christmas feel. If you don't expect much of the food and the dining experience, and if you do your homework about what to do, it's a very good trip. MSC needs to work on the food and perhaps have more beef available?

I cannot wait to do another Silversea Cruise. It was INCREDIBLE, can't stop talking about it. The service, the quality, the food, the design all of it. You gotta do this cruise.

The silver dawn was first class all the way. The ship, food, drinks, excursions all really good. The ship was beautiful. The orchids and the artwork. It was so clean and comfortable. Perfect size.

Had a few hiccups by tfkoerner

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Viking Sky

Fell and needed 4 stitches but medical was great. Dr. Chlchartishvili, Anna Kabanova, and Alwyh Cortaga took care of me at no charge. Also Arum Nair was instrumental in my acquiring the Mussels in Manfredi's which had been discontinued which added a real plus to the trip. Putra and Dan did a great job on the room.

Barcelona Mediterranean Cruise by troy9752

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Viking Saturn

We booked an extension which included Parma and Bologna. Both Cities were fascinating and our Tour guide was excellent. However we had about a 5 hour bus ride to Parma on the first day which took us back up North close to where we were the day before and at the end we had a 1 hr. 15 minute bus ride to the airport at 4:00AM in the morning. Also in my opinion this extension is backwards. It should be Bologna first and then Parma which would eliminate several long waisted bus rides back and forth. Would not recommend.

Beautiful Ship, Smokers delight by jesskoffman

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC World Europa

Beautiful new ship copying some things from Royal Oasis and Quantum classes, but with more adult decore like Celebrity and a great outdoor movie set up like princess. Great entertainment, though not at the Royal Oasis or Celebrity Edge levels, but better than their older ships. You'd think it would be perfect, but amount of smokers in europe and smoking areas made most of the ship inaccessible to me. Packed elevetators with people who just smoked, the outdoor promenade was a smoke party after theatres let out and had smokers to avoid at all times. Some great venues couldnt be accessed without walking through clouds of smoke. All the nice areas to explore are completely lined with paid venues and the very average included food with poor variety seems intended to get you in said paid venues. Service excellent. Ship sparking and beautiful.

Portugal, Spain and Canary Islands Cruise by sdharamsy

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Norwegian Star

Have an open mind, tone down expectation, and then relish every moment of the cruise. Everything is different, experience varies from place to place. Take it all in. Enjoy the blessing that is this vacation. There is so much to be grateful for - that is how I felt it. 11 days is too short. The clientele was diverse but well-mannered

MSC Divina: A Disappointing Experience by camilom

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: MSC Divina

The MSC Divina's shortcomings, from its outdated design to its subpar food and service, left me with a disappointing overall impression. While the ship may appeal to those seeking a budget-friendly cruise option, I would strongly advise discerning travelers to consider alternative options for a more enjoyable and memorable vacation experience.

Beautiful ship, awesome destinations by dmdsjm

Beautiful ship, good variety of restaurants, awesome ports & good length of time. The staff seemed like they were new & not quite up to my previous cruises (NCL & others), but were ok.
