Excellent Mediterranean Cruise by Jas123

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: MSC Seaview / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

Overall, this was a fantastic cruise! We actually took this cruise as a roundtrip from Barcelona 13 April - 20 April 2019, with the same ports as listed below. The itinerary was excellent, we got to visit so many places (no sea days)! MSC Seaview is a spectacular and incredible ship. There was so much to do, all the staff were great and the food was good too.

Wonderful and exhausting Mediterranean Cruise by MailmanCho

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Spirit / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

Excellent Cruise ports! Do your homework on excursions! You can book them in the USA (sometimes more to see or do than the ships excursions and better prices) and they’ll meet you at or by the ports.

Great ship by joedover3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Epic / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

We actually were on the Epic n Oct, 2018 on a Med cruise and loved it so much we are going on the Epic again Feb 16, 2019 in the Caribbean. I see there is a lot of bad reviews here and maybe they are legit but we had a far more different experience. I do have to say were were in an Owners suite in the Haven so we were up there quite a bit. We also gamble alot and we loved the casino. We didn't see any shows except the comedy show by choice..not overcrowded. We also got VIP entrance into restaurants so no waiting. My advice is that if you really want a great experience ...spend a little more and get into the Haven. We have been on RC Oasis and Allure and the NCL Haven experience make us like it better than RC.

Family holiday by elliemay028

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Norwegian Epic / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

Perfect for kids. Enjoyed the aqua park. In port everyday so pool area not busy. Did not like having to book dining and entertainment. Always liked Ncl as freestyle cruising. This was not.

Had a great time .. would do it again and again and again until i reach Emerald status :) by mikeyb2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Symphony of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

Ok.. here goes. 1. Food in main Dining room for Dinner is mostly repetitive and I do recommend eating once or twice at a speciality restaurant and make reservations at the Solarium Bistro- that is included at no extra cost. Cecilia in the main dining room was awesome. 2. The ice show 2.0 is amazing. We loved it! 3. The adult comic show was great but the family comedian night was not. Wish the first guy was on longer (really.. gets hired to be on a cruise and only works 15 mins on stage) 2nd guy spend way to much time on things that frankly was boring and not funny for the family/kids. Spoke about disciplining them etc. and it went on and on. Insulted some. 4. The Aqua show... have to say was not as great as other ships. The lady up on the rope pretending to walk as she moved around was way to often. Once was enough of her. To much just stupid dance floors and not enough WOW. 5. To many activities that cost extra. Bingo, Tours of the ship, making sushi class, spa spa spa, drinks, internet list goes on and on. Can think of a dozen activities they can add to the schedule that would not incur fees for the guests. . I guess i was on Norwegian Cruise line and they include some things in the package you pay to get on. 6. Room: The room was great. Loved our room attendant. Like extra towels and ice and was not an issue. Ok size for a cruise line. 7. Getting on and off the ship was a breeze .. No lines - well being Gold helps.. really the only benefit we feel is any value from being a Gold status member is the gold line to get on the ship. , bags transfer from room to port both ways was not an issue. 8. The solarium was for 16 and older but was not monitored .. Some kids from time to time in that area. I was ok with it but others you can tell were not. Excited to see some couples making out. LOL (just say it for a sec.) 9. the stops.. loved France and Palma De Mallorca, Balearic Islands. Found Italy folks not as nice to speak to ... Look out for all the criminals in Roam tourist areas and pic-pocketers . 10. There was no Bingo jackpot game and no lobster night in the main Dining room.. 11. Love the work out Gym and the hours for it 12. Drinks - We did not get a drink package but figured we would just drink one night. Was not worth it. We hardly drink so when we get a drink on land in our home town 1 drink gets us going with a strong buzz.. on the ship..3 drinks did nothing. I asked about it and said he will add more to the next one (#3) but still nothing.. was a waste... gave me 1 drink for free for the issue. 13. Silent parties - use headphones with 2 channels of dance music you can switch to was akword .. we tried it and left. .. can't talk to each other and odd to kiss with headphones on.. wish they would have a late night movie night at the aqua show area and use the headphones to watch... got spoiled on Carnival with movies playing at night at the pool...loved that. not on the ship. was going to watch a move at 9:30pm but they switched it to 6:30pm since people in the suites in the area complained of the noise. 14. Spent a bunch$$ on the tour in Rome.. great tour guide. really great. A bit too much to see in the time we had so rushed place to place but it was a nice lunch they gave us and great that they had tickets to get in to each place at the time we arrived. 15. Loved the water slide.. although i am almost 50 .. i do like the water fun. If you wear the right swim suit cloths that slide great... you will go fast. Been on the top 3 largest ships of Royal C in the last 18 months.. All amazing ships on water. All about the same. Seen one seem all 3. Was really hoping to see some change in this ship. But none to report except some art/decor. Leaving out of Ft Lauderdale this Saturday 8/5/2018 for another trip on the Allaire.

Wonderful Mediterranean Cruise by drob430

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Epic / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

The cruise over all was great. This is the first time, I have ever had to make reservations to see the nightly entertainment. The cabins on this ship are the smallest of any ship I have been on. The ports of call were great. The wine tasting excursion in Tuscany was fabulous. It included several types of wines, sitting down at a beautifully set table, and included food. The wine tasting in Cannes was simply standing up in a vineyard with a taste of a red wine and a white wine.

Great Ship by rm0402526157714

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Independence of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

Having cruised some years ago on the Independence was looking forward to the trip, particularly with the changed, upgrades and new features on the ship, well done RC. Only disappointing thing was that on several stops we arrived late in the day as scheduled and left early in the afternoon, again as scheduled.

Over All an Amazing cruise by sandro0165

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Independence of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

The ship Is magnificent , the Ship director Geoff was amazing , over all for the food I was a little disappointed , Being a platinum Member on Carnival (over 100 sailings ) I often heard how Royal Caribbean was far superior when it came for food , So maybe my expectations were to high , but it was not what I was expecting , I would have to go as far and that I prefer Carnivals food better , the Carnival steakhouses versus Chops , Carnivals menu presentation and quality far superior , Carnivals Guys Hamburgers (FREE) hands down better that RC Johnny rockets (Fee). I enjoyed the Izumi Japanese grill good food and fun. Pizza was good but Carnivals better , but with this said no one comes close to MSC , when it comes to Pizza and Pasta .

Good cruise to take if you want a small sampling of a these ports. by kimferd

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Crown Princess / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

All in all - it was a nice family vacation. It is not Disney - which is top of the line for cruises. However, I don't think you will be disappointed. We took our 21 year old and 13 year old and got them another room.

Fun and Friendly Cruise - Average Ship by SantaCruzers

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Crown Princess / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

Overall, our experience on the Crown Princess was very nice. The ship, though a bit dated and oddly configured, was clean, comfortable, and classic. The food and entertainment was excellent, and the service was friendly and efficient.

Nice Mediterranean cruise by sueandpete

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

This was my partners first cruise but my ninth, after listening to my stories of previous cruises she was expecting more of a party atmosphere as I had experienced with Carnival cruise line. Having said that she did thoroughly enjoy the whole experience.

A great ship with one or two things which could be better by DJS53

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Independence of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

A beautiful ship with many good qualities and great staff, BUT the bars are very hard to get a seat in at night since the refit - 400 extra people with some public spaces taken away to make more cabins (eg the nightclub is gone) makes evenings in particular hard work. Sunbeds can be a problem - but providing you are adaptable and don't need to be near the main pools this is ok as there is room at the aft and bow ends if you are less fussy....bars are more of a problem because you have less choice and there just isn't enough room. One idea would be to make Studio B even more adaptable than it already is - an ice rink, a laser quest, AND a dance club/bar by night? I found the shows good, but at times a bit outdated - quite a lot of comedians/entertainers telling sexist jokes for 40% of their act (which is too much, I felt). Grease is well done and largely popular, but again rather dated and even unpleasant to modern styles of romantic relationships. The Boheniams (Queen tribute) were very good indeed. The quizes lacked variety and don't have enough seats available and there was not a wide variety of entertainment to choose from. The musicians on board were generally very good as was the choice of drinks at the bar (if you could get a seat at night). The food was good to very good rather than excellent, but there was a lot of choice except at night in the MDR when it got a little samey after about half way throught the cruise. Service is excellent, however. The international staff are consistently helpful. I wish they'd put the vegetarian options and salads in the buffet away from the meat/tuna as a couple of times, careless people scooped up and dropped inappropriate food in the wrong container as they moved it towards their plate...but this was a minor problem as normally it was fine, though it could be easily solved. The ship is really very keen on cleanliness and there were numerous ways that they encouraged washing hands - the Washy Washy Man is a legend whom everybody loved. If you like having your photo taken, the photo packages are great value. The drinks packages may or may not be depending on your consumption. Overall, I'm impressed with RCL but they miss the top marks for not putting attention into adding extra bar seating as they do extra cabins.

Fabulous Cruise by Laineyno1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Independence of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

The Adventure Ocean for the kids is worth its weight in gold, the kids had fun and we had some much appreciated relaxing adult time. Everything from the restaurants, bars, cabins and public areas on the ship were very clean and well kept. Staff were excellent. Ports of call and excursions are very good, tour guides are very knowledgeable and well worth it. Already looking for our cruise for next year with Royal Caribbean, kids club being the main reason we are rebooking, kids had a wonderful time as did we.

Boring ship by pilotsrus

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Costa Pacifica / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

Boring. Would not recommend the ship. The stops were great. The staff is almost invisible. The reception desk knows absolutely nothing of value. The bed was awful.
