Amazing Med Cruise by RuthieCormode

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Magic / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

Disney cruises are just amazing. Our one last year to Norway was amazing so we booked this one straight away. The standards are amazing and it's so so enjoyable for the whole family. We are going with an alternative cruise line next year purely due to scheduling (when we want to go on holiday Disney Magic will be doing the same itinery as this year) and We are worried we will be disappointed after Disney!

Magical Trip on the Disney Magic by Olivierf143

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Magic / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

This was our 1st Disney cruise and the staff of the Disney Magic just made it all spectacular. This itinerary is port intensive but still enjoyable. The app is very good and the only suggestion would be for it to allow you to add extra bookings. The food quality is very good and provided a lot of variety. We booked a Placeholder before we left. We will definitely return and even with the +- 2,386 guests it never felt crowded.

Great Mediterranean Cruise by Chuck2017

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Riviera / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

This was a great vacation, we seen a lot and took a lot of tours that kept us very busy, the only week spot was the ships internet service, every thing else was more than we expected for this level of cruising .

DON'T DO IT!!! by ATLcruisers

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Meraviglia / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

If you are American, have cruised before, and are considering MSC... DON'T DO IT!!! We had read the bad reviews but decided to give it a try thinking it couldn't be THAT bad. It was. The Meraviglia is new and spotless. So there's that. The food was AWFUL! EW, just thinking about it turns my stomach. AND...the buffet was the same food... EVERY DAY. If you have cruised Holland America, Celebrity or Royal Caribbean you will be EXTREMELY disappointed. There was not enough space at the buffet lines so most times it was 5 - 6 people deep with no seating in the restaurant. We had to laugh at the FEEDING FRENZY and tried to stay away. People were pushing and shoving as they filled their plates with the same disgusting food every day. You would have sworn it was the last meal ever to be served due to the intense nature at feeding time. We reserved a suite and based on MSCs website we thought we could at least avoid the morning feeding by ordering room service. Room service is available, but there is no hot food (continental breakfast only and cold sandwiches during the day). We ended up eating on shore most days. We also booked the Tryptic dining experience. The Butcher's Cut was marginal (that was the best of the three specialty restaurants). But, you are only offered a very limited menu and have to pay extra if you order anything different. The food at Eately was unpalatable - it still makes me queezy to think about it. The sushi restaurant was equivalent to the sushi you can buy at your local Publix or Kroger. The clientele on the ship were low rent (worse than Carnival) - I watched a woman lift a baby out of a full hot tub and change it's dirty (feces) diaper on the side of the tub, then put the baby back in the tub. She threw the dirty diaper on the deck below. So many rude people... who pushed their way in front of us for the simplest reasons...and treated the crew like dirt. We were stunned at the absurdity. Our cabin was a suite with a hot tub on the deck. It would have been amazing had there not been a 4 inch brown ring around the top from the previous guests filth. We called our cabin steward and he said they didn't use any chemicals or clean the private hot tubs, they simply drained the tub 1/2 way and refilled it for the next guest. Since the tub didn't heat above 35 C (95 F) it was completely unsanitary and therefore unusable. Our wristbands (for cabin purchases) still showed the previous guests for the entire time we were on the ship and we received a notice daily that there were issues with our credit card. We had to go stand in line at customer service 5 times (for ~45 minutes each time) to provide the exact same credit card, which they used to close our account and then reopen it - each time telling us it 'cleared' the problem. It didn't. There were 5,500 guests and only ~1,700 crew who were overworked and not happy. We asked a bartender how his day was going and he flat out said his day was 'crappy' and he 'hated this place'. We did meet a lovely girl from the Philippines (Delilah) - it was her third week on the ship. She said she liked us because we were nice to her. We asked if other people were not nice and she started to cry. It was heartbreaking. We ended up getting off the ship early, changing our return flight and hanging out in Barcelona for a few days. We had street food that was better than any meal on the ship, enjoyed amazing music and atmosphere (even in a city that just experienced horrible terror), and felt immediate relief to be off of that floating Walmart/Motel 6. Save your money. Do ANYTHING else.

Horribly disappointing and costly by cruisingfirst18

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Epic / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

We spent $11,000 on this vacation and were sorely disappointed to say the least. We were asked to change rooms after we boarded and were at sea - offered nothing at the beginning, accused or booking the room under false pretences and offered to get off. But when we requested a refund to disembark the room change was no longer necessary...... It was sooo disappointing to have so many options and make the Wrong Choice! The excursions were memorable but the whole experience on the ship and the staff were so bad we didn't truly enjoy anything......Do your research and beware....We even wrote the owner of the cruise line and got No Reply!!!! No surprise there!!! $'s to some mean nothing at the end of the day. :)

September 17, 2017 Canada & New England by SeaThruU

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Jewel of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

The Canada-New England Itinerary was good, but our ship experience was below average. The cruise line needs to work on the food services part of this ship.

Disappointing by Mapleguy

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Jewel of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

A bit disappointing food was bland, and our bathroom smelled of sewage the entire trip. On the white party night we were kept awake by incredibly loud music on the pool deck until 1am so got about 6 hours sleep before heading out for the day in Barcelona. Probably would pass on this ship and look for something else. The cabins are pretty run down and could use a refurbishing. Ive liked royal in the past but this one has had it's day.

Another fantastic holiday by patrcaribbean

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Independence of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

Another superb cruise. However the weather in the nights was very rough and bouncy. A very severe thunder storm which was exciting. Independence of the Seas is our favourite ship as we met on her nearly 5 years ago!!!

Wounderful trip, but too short. :) by PeterAmos

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Epic / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

Thank you for a great experience, you will see us again. The staff where very helpful and made for a pleasant overall experience. The only niggle was that there are so many extra pay places on the ship. Coming from South Africa were the Rand is very weak, this put some of these out of reach.

First cruise was a success by NCDeb

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Norwegian Epic / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

First cruise. I would do another Norwegian cruise. Ports of call were good, although better communication concerning getting disembarking and embarking would be helpful. I liked the daily newsletters which outlined the next day in advance. I lie the NCL app to check my account and book shows and other offerings. I also liked the same ability to book and check my account on the TV in my room. The required evacuation plan at sailing went very well and the daily safety updates on the TV were well done as was the channel to preview ships offerings. NCL has their act together and, while certainly not perfect, I do rate them well.

Very nice - I would consider going again-I think I liked the cruise separately from the excursions. I did not like having a place to be every day- the ship was nice and relaxing-

Good carribean cruise by kittykatdoll

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Freedom of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

The ship is good and friendly. Just wish that the other kids were polite Enough to say please and thank u not to push through my family which had trouble walking. The food wasn't too hot for us at all which was nice for me and my family and the staff were family. Also the sports centre was a good environment of the ship especially seeing the wave rider lessons and the staff doing wave rider show.

Excellent Ship - Incredible Itinerary by Aprguy

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Epic / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

Great cruise - gave us everything we were looking for and more. Boat was big, but never felt crowded. Lots to do onboard - only quibble is that you get nickel-and-dimed to death at times. Unlimited Drink package doesn't include Bottled Water??? Odd. But a minor quibble.
