Very nice cruise seeing several Norwegian ports. by jdragan

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Sky Princess

Overall, Princess was the best choice for the cruise. The ship visited more ports than any other major cruise company. To see the most of Norway, Princess is the best option.

Engaging and Insightful Experience in Iceland by caragol

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Le Bellot

This cruise excels at service and attention to the passengers, given there is about a 1:1 ratio of crew to passengers. After a day of hiking and exploration it was wonderful to return to the comfort and pampering we received onboard. The ship is very stable and the safety measures and medical facilities well appointed. The food was delectable and focused more on quality than quantity. Not the cruise for huge all you can eat buffets, but lovely, well composed dishes with plated dinners. We also enjoyed the afternoon caviar tasting paired with vodka or champagne and the Iberian pasta negra ham tasting paired with Jerez. The Smithsonian experts added another level of insights and opportunities to learn about the Icelandic people and culture and the interesting relationship between the geology of Iceland and astrophysics and space exploration. We also met many pleasant and intelligent passengers in the many excursions and social gatherings.

Don’t Do It by jamesrhodes

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: MSC Virtuosa

Stay away from MSC or atleast any of their ships coming out of England. The cruise director summed it up the first night/show: this is a British ship and if you don’t have British tastes you’re on the wrong boat.

Vikings, Icebergs, Volcanos, Oh My! by TexasBruce

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Zuiderdam

We took this cruise with two other couples. We are all retired. We had a great time. Many days in port I had over 10,000 steps, yet I still gained 5 pounds!

We picked this cruise because it had so many different countries. We did wear ourselves out trying to make the most of it. LOL

Baltic sea adventure by rdcmrc

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Dawn

I am glad I visited these countries but I would not recommend this cruise line over the other 5 lines with whom I have cruised.

Wonderful Baltic cruise. Great itinerary. by AlexandJose

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Dawn

Cruise was great. Itinerary met what we wanted to see. It was worthy, we visited great ports overall. We were very happy with our cruise selection. Our travel consultant, Mr. Joseph Parks is the BEST. He selected as always, a very convenient balcony cabin for us, and as in previous occasions took excellent care of our cruise needs.

Norwegian has fallen! by ajimsojka

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Norwegian Dawn

We did this cruise to visit the few countries we hadn't gone to in Europe. I think hiking with tacks in my shoes would have been more fulfilling. This was hands down the worst vacation I've ever had. I've gotten Giardia in Cambodia, had flights home canceled last minute in Egypt, and vacationed in an area that was technically in a civil war. Norwegian somehow made this cruise a more miserable experience. I am shouting from the highest window to all who will listen: AVOID NORWEGIAN UNTIL THEY GET THEIR HOUSE IN ORDER.

A great cruise touching all the Baltic countries (except Russia) by NorthGaFrankB

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Dawn

The Baltics have a unique history, heard it first hand and saw places taught in grammar school. It was great! Beautiful cities, beautiful countries, would do it again! Pray this part of the world can remain as it is without outside influences.

Epic trip to Norway & Iceland by yvettemh

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Nieuw Statendam

The places we went were great, but the ship did not have good activities or any night life (if you're under 65). We did have really rough seas (25' waves) so it was a rough trip.

Another wonderful HAL cruise by DannyBob

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Nieuw Statendam

This was a great cruise, with incredible views of fjords, mountains, waterfalls, and more. We loved the food (except the weak coffee) and especially loved ballroom dancing on the ship.

Very good overall, but some details lacking by NowAndThen

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Caribbean Princess

A few minor issues, but the only true disappointment was missing the stop at Reykjavik due to “wind conditions.” Princess Plus/Premier packages avoid being nickeled and dimed on board and are worth considering.

Perfect Itinerary foe exploring the Polar North - too bad the food was terrible by rmgrogan

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Norwegian Star

Bland, tasteless food. Lack of variety. All healthy food options ruined with unhealthy toppings. Ran out of yogurt and fresh fruits. Almost all the fruit came from cans.

Great Midnight Sun Cruise by grendla

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Norwegian Star

John (JC) was a great solo travelers group coordinator. He made the cruise much more enjoyable for a solo traveler like me. I would recommend NCL for solo travelers that like to meet new people.

Glad we did it. by perribrandon

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Norwegian Star

Out of 60+ cruises, this probably was the best service. We had some snow flurries in Longyearbyen, so bring heavy clothes. It would have been better if we spent the night in Reykjavik, and did some tours there instead of Isafjordur or Honningsvag. Ginza had great food, along w/the specialty restaurants.

Outstanding itinerary with an generally good experience. by FSORET

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Jewel of the Seas

The itinerary did not disappoint and was exactly what we expected. The staff's service was outstanding but our ship could use some TLC in cabin furnishings. Select excursions carefully. We were very satisfied with the overall experience.
