Overall, an amazing experience and well-worth doing!

The Splendor is a beautiful ship with a trained staff dedicated to providing excellent customer service. Our time on the ship in our cabin and in the public spaces and restaurants was very enjoyable. The itinerary changed significantly from when we booked the cruise and less desirable ports were substituted. The tours we selected were highly variable in quality, from tour guides who struggled with the basics of English to articulate guides with a passion and expertise in their subject matter.

Excellent cruise, all activities, personnel and organization on board was first rate. However, the Azamara home office is of no help, they give the wrong answers, they are disrespectful and there is a clear disconnect between the home office and the crew on the ship. Bad new ownership of Azamara!

This is a small, very high service type of cruise experience. The crew really get to know you on these long cruises.

We had a great time. We took both included and additional excursions and enjoyed most of them. It was hard for us to decide on best port as most were excellent. We would have preferred an extra day in Copenhagen versus either Bornholm or Aaland Island. Food was excellent as it was hard to beat Manfredi's and the Chef's Table. And the World Cafe was a good go to spot for breakfast and lunch. We also enjoyed the Nordic Spa experience. Pre Cruise, we traveled on our own by train, boat, and bus from Oslo to Bergen via Flam (railway). We strayed overnight in Flam. Post cruise, we added back on our own the two (Helsinki and Tallinn) of the three stops that were eliminated because of the Ukraine. We glad that visited both Helsinki and Tallinn. And we added a four day layover in Reykjavik and Iceland is not to be missed. Viking allowed us to do so much pre, during and post cruise as we used Viking Air (Plus) to make the travel arrange between our home to Oslo and from Stockholm. Our cruise gave us lifetime memories.

This was a first time for us in Scandinavia and the Baltics. The itinerary was really great with a minimum of at-sea days. We learned so much about the region.

The ports were great and that I overshadowed the ship and everything lacking onboard. I would not recommend this ship until it gets updated.

The condition of the ship is embarrassing. If this had been my first cruise, I probably would never take another cruise. You hear how beautiful/clean/friendly the staff are on the ships from people, this one is not that way. We have 17 cruises down. I’ve never complained to a room steward. I did on our first day. Nothing happened. I’ve never written a list of issues until jewel of the sea. We don’t just pay for a room and do the included/free stuff. We ended this cruise with an additional $4700 in charges. We payed good money for a sub par ship and bad service.

Was it a a good cruise, yes was it great No.? The lack of certain wines coverage on the drink package, there should have been an adjustment of the price we paid. The ship being so old and showing its age effected the overall enjoyment.

After realizing that we would not be able to visit St. Petersburg, this cruise was really a good selection with excellent ports and excursions available.

We love Azamara and highly recommend them. With only 200 people on our latest cruise, the service was impeccable. There are usually 660 people, and this is always great. The staff are amazing.

Great experience overall. Loved every port especially Visby and Tallinn.

The cruise was great. Would reccomend to anyone. Although advertised, very disappointed that we did not go to Bergen, Norway.

This was our first visit to Norway and Iceland. If you plan it right you can avoid the crowded tourist spots in Iceland and still see glaciers, waterfalls, steam vents, lava etc. Holland America is ideal for seniors. Being in our 60's we were among the younger seniors present.

Except for embarkation the cruise and ship wre wonderful.

Crew worked hard to make all passengers feel at home. Food was very good with a good variety of choices. Pinnacle Rest. was worst dining experience on the ship--over rated!!!
