First Cruise by dejeanettegandy

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Norwegian Epic / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

I really enjoyed my first cruise. The crew was very nice and the ship was very clean. I was not disappointed. My room was nicely decorated and cleaned daily. I loved how the studio fir the singles was setup, with our own little chill area.

We enjoyed the cruise, excursions with MSC were disappointing, food was nothing special, and not many English speaking cruisers. I won’t take another MCS cruise.

Amazing family vacation by ARL2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Norwegian Epic / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

We had a great time overall. The epic is continually dropping / picking up Passengers in Rome/Barcelona so no real excitement onboard day 1.... For new cruisers Embarking on a Europe cruise. Which was unfortunate and surprising to me.

This was our first cruise ever and we honestly weren't very impressed with all of the surprise charges that you are very unclear of in your information package. by AMMMRM

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Vision of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

We enjoyed all of the ports and the ship was nice. It was nice to have a lot of options for food but the options were a little out of our comfort zone. Some of the bartenders were rude, everyone else was nice especially our room attendant. We were charged very expensive unclear charges and were very unhappy about that. We are glad we went though and we have learned a lot. Both good and bad.

Second cruise on this ship in 12-month period. Enjoyed it very much. It should be called "A foodie's dream cruise" because all the visited locations had simply amazing food options.

Good times but not fine dining by BryDC

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Norwegian Epic / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

This ship was a mix of highs and lows averaging out to a generally enjoyable experience. I would call this ship solidly average. As one of the largest ships traveling in Europe, there were a lot of passengers aboard this ship. This means there were always crowds EVERYWHERE on the ship. On the plus side, there were never those awkward moments where there are only 2-3 people attending a given event. Conversely, food prep in the main dining rooms was disappointing; there were always lines (bars; water slides; most restaurants if you didn't have reservations; entertainment; etc.). Most of the entertainment on the ship was very good or excellent, though there were definitely exceptions. The food was disappointing to say the least--either because they were cooking for so many people or because they were trying to up-sell the premium restaurants. Either way, I will look to smaller ships or better rated cruise lines for future trips as a result. But for an experience that was broadly enjoyable for different age groups and members of my family, this cruise was an enjoyable experience at a fair price.

Great Cruise, Exceptional Shows, Awesome Staff, Slightly Aged Ship by DavidTHouston

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Epic / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

It was overall a wonderful cruise. The food, even at complimentary dining rooms (Taste, Manhattan) were good and every staff member was attentive, personable and caring. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the headline shows. "Burn the Floor" and "Priscilla" were exceptional and can't be missed; The Beatles show was pretty good too. Embarkation was fairly quick although the lines for people who have checked in their luggage and those who have not were confusing and could be improved (should not be that hard, really.) The ship returned to Barcelona late and disembarkation was delayed for an hour because of late sailing the day before due to a medical emergency. The ship showed its age and for a ship this big, signage and directions were surprisingly inadequate, but overall, not bad. The cabin design was strange (e.g., the sink was in the open area of the cabin and the bathroom was split in two - one for toilet, one for shower - at opposite sides of the cabin door. We booked the excursions (not through Norwegian) for all ports of call and they were great overall. If you travel during peak season, just know that the crowds were massive, especially in Rome and Pisa.

Great Cruise by ajg795

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Costa Fascinosa / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

The food and drinks were amazing, all-inclusive drink pass is definitely worth it. The ports were good except Savona was kind of boring. The excursions are overpriced, we did some of them on our own for cheaper. Favorite thing was definitely the dinners, our server was named Jennifer and she did an amazing job.

Too Ambitious of a Tour & Too Cheap for Overnight Port Stays by loiej

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Constellation / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

This cruise is too ambitious. Or else celebrity is too cheap to overnight anywhere. We saw so little of the port of calls it was ridiculous. If I were planning this cruise I would forget Corfu entirely, (and Dubrovnik, which offers nothing) and overnight in Santorini as it is too difficult to see everything and get back down the mountain on that fanicular in such a short period of time. Then the day at sea would be one day sooner allowing for an overnight in Naples, as well, as there is much to see there. The trip was far too rushed. Plus, I would not charge for soft drinks (sodas) etc. just liquor, wine and beer. Makes Celebrity look cheap. That said, your staff is fabulous but you need to hire just a few more and rotate days off. They aren’t slaves. They need time off, too.

Absolutely the BEST cruise. The food was fantastic, the service top-notch, the room was spotless, really everything was wonderful. Only thing is the drink package is too expensive, but we really did enjoy it!

excellent and busy Croatia and Greece cruise by hdejonge

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

The service and people on the ship were overall very good in their service, attitude, and performance, especially in the dining room, the spa, and the lounges. The food was excellent, especially dinner in the main dining room. Their nightly entertainment was very high quality and displayed tremendous talent. The boat hard a hard time handling the crowds at lunch and breakfast with many time no tables for the guests in the Windjammer café, (the main place for these meals). They also seemed to have a hard time handling the guests leaving and returning to the boat when tendered with long delays and lines being the norm. Several times we barely made it to our excursions or returned to the boat on time before they left. Overall a very nice cruise with great scenery and rich history to absorb. Unless you just want to veg on the boat then be prepared for an active and busy time-makes the evening dinner and activities more rewarding!
