Too much upselling and too much smoking by Js

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Breeze / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

Great ship, they just allow smoking on most decks, so even if you are outside, because of the large amount of smokers, you could always smell smoke. Carnival needs to limit the smoking areas substantially more.

A Great Honeymoon by VinnieB

Sail date: /
Ship: Celebrity Equinox / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

We thought the ship looked and felt great with this being our first cruise. It was big and there were a lot of entertainment options going on all the time. Obviously cruising is expensive but we thought for the price we paid, other costs on boat would be nominal. (I mean, .75/minute for internet that barely worked.. That's pretty outrageous) Still, we had a great time and thought the menu in the main dining hall gave us plenty options that we were quite pleased with.

Our First Cruise Experience by TomK4

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Splendour of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

Though we have lived and traveled abroad for more than three decades, this was our first cruise. We had a wonderful experience, enjoying the facilities and luxuries provided on the ship and the great itinerary the cruise offered. Service personnel was consistently excellent and personable. The nightly entertainment was varied and professional. The seven days that we were on the cruise passed too quickly. We look forward to future cruises.

Summer Holidaze by Chiefjbr

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

Nice cruise for the family! Lots of activities for the whole family. Great staff. Only things I would recommend is the Pool bars staying open in the evening and the Sports Bars only having one channel and repeating the same tennis match. Would have liked to see Closing Ceremony of the Olympics or PGA Championship

Save your money and don't sail on Royal. by JohnB3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Splendour of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

Honestly, this cruise was a huge let down. The ports were certainly nice, but the ship offered nothing but frustration. It is small and cramped, the food selections outside of the dining room were terrible, it felt very understaffed because things were open at odd hours and closed at others. Half of the shops didn't even have staff available to make purchases from in the middle of the day... The food menu at the Park Cafe seemed to change daily but was never posted anywhere, so you had no idea what you could order. Hot dog place constantly ran out of hot dogs and buns and had terrible hours as well. Entertainment on the ship was hard to find, especially if you had the 9PM dinner time. Most shows ended around 10 PM and there was nothing to do after that time, except maybe attend a toga party or 70s party. Overall we were really let down. We had to speak with guest services multiple times due to issues with our bill, services on the ship, and even about additional packages we had purchased pre-cruise. Of the staff that was around, they were friendly and our state room attendant did an excellent job. Short of that the ship was incredibly underwhelming. My wife and I have no intentions of sailing on RC again.

Perfect cruise by JoergP

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Silhouette / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

From the first until the last day...there was nothing to complain. The food was in all restaurants perfect. Except at the tuscan grill. It was good, but not better than at the main restaurant.

Adriatic Cruise by PunamS

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Silhouette / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

We stayed in Aqua Class Stateroom and enjoyed the Restaurant Blu that is included as part of this cabin category. We had a decent sized balcony, since we were on the 'hump' midship. The Silhouette is an elegant ship, with an understated decor. Enjoyed the glass elevators overlooking the multi-level atrium. The library has an open plan and is lovely to look at. For the serious reader, however, the ambient sounds might be a distraction. I would have liked a selection of English language magazines to browse through. The main Silhouette Theater was plush and well laid out. We toured the Adriatic region and loved the ports of call.

Great Itinerary! OK ship by TracyJ1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Serenade of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

I loved the itinerary & the staff. Our family/ group had a great time. The ship is older and does not have the amenities of the newer RCCL ships so that took some getting used to. It also made it very hard to take advantage of the coupon books that they give to Crown and Anchor members since many did not apply to the older ships.

A mixed bag cruise by DawnW

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Serenade of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

The ship was tired rundown and outdated. Management was very poor. There was a very difficult mix of passengers to integrate. Did not even take a report when I was assaulted in Turkey. The in the trenches workers were great especially Yuri and Dulp in the main bar. Zoltan in the dining room was great as well.
