Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise Reviews

It was more of an adventure to be with mainly Italians... The ship was clean and efficient.. The buffet was fine..but, the main dining room was never good and I'm not that picky. I loved the ports .. but, used private tours ... which were very good. Don't expect Europeans to be as friendly as Americans.... just take them as they are. I think this was more interesting to mix with other cultures.

Nice size, comfortable.

The staff was so friendly and helpful. Loved having the live band from Memphis every night. They made our cruise so much fun. There is nothing like live music and the quality of the band was exceptional!!!

There were couple of cruise members that didn't have the greatest attitude, but at the end of the day, the dining experience and our stateroom attendant, just made those moments go away. I do wish that we had more dining time options and accommodations to those that don't want to wear formal attires.

This was our second cruise on this ship and overall like the ship and staff very good. Chose for itinerary and Holland America service. Most of ports were wonderful. Athens fell on Orthodox Easter which we did not know in advance of booking so not able to see all sites and museums we had planned to.

The Silhouette is a very classy ship - there was clearly great painstaking care put into the design of this class of vessel. Having sailed previous generations of Celebrity and Royal Carribean - this was the finest ship.

Overall the cruise did what we wanted it to do. We had a short time for our vacation and the 3 day cruise allowed us to see/do different things than what we could have done if we had been \"land locked\" for the entire time we were in the area.

We had a wonderful time with my wife and other family member. The Norwegian Jade was excellent. Superb service. Freestyle, eat wherever, whenever. Could the formal restaurant, informal by the swiming pool, buffet. It is difficult to be hungry at 6 pm or 9 pm during the all cruise. It is very nice to wake up in a different country every day and go out to explore different cultures and places that we always want to visit. Take a good breakfast buffet and go out fresh, without packing every day and taking taxis, go to the airport, etc. Then in the evening come back to the ship eat well at the formal restaurant and see a wonderful show.

It was a delightful cruise overall. Just wished there were more activities on the 3 days at sea! Dance classes should be offered in the afternoon, not at 7 pm every time.

We took the east Mediterranean 10 day cruise during early March of 2013. We had great experience. The itinerary is just about right. In 10 days we visited 6 different cities across three different countries. The docking time and required return time enable us to have enough time to see what we wanted to see during excursion. Overall, had great time and will do it again, but we probably going to take west Mediterranean cruise next time to see different cities.

THE FOOD WAS AWEFUL EVEN IN THE SPECIALITY RESTAURANTS TOO MANY KIDS NO REAL PLACE TO GET AWAY FROM THE KIDS NOTHING GOING ON ON SEA DAYS THE SHORE EXCURSIONS ARE A SCAM

It felt like I was on a maiden voyage as everything seemed to be highly unorganized and poorly planned. The food available at dinner was nearly identical to what was served in the buffet. Breakfast was by far the best meal of the day despite the lack of variety it was so good. There were a lot of kids and it seemed the parents brought them along so they didn't have to watch them and let them wander. My wife and I had planned on spending a few evenings with drinks and dancing and were very disappointed to not find a place where kids were not allowed at all. The rules were very loose and it just didn't give us the vibe that we would cruise with MSC again. The staff was spectacular and very helpful. Although the ports were a bit short compared to other itineraries I have seen, they were the highlight of the trip. From a value standpoint, MSC definitely isn't bad, we just had higher expectations for the entire voyage.

Ship was generally good and the staff helpful.

Balcony suite was very roomy and nice.

This was the first time we had a balcony. Though the room was no bigger than those without one the balcony makes the room seem so much larger. I'm sure we will always have a balcony.

The people working on the dinning room Vento Fernando and Paul end all the others that took care of us they were amazing they should be notified for the yes serve amazing ,

The ship needs to be refurbished. The Hawaiian theme of the ship does not fit this itinerary. Ship has some good things but just average.

The Crown Princess is a beautiful ship. Well maintained. Excellent dining and entertainment facilities.

Overall average. Nothing spectacular about food or staff. Good price for itinerary.

NCL Jade was a friendly and extremely well run ship. We would be happy to journey on her again (though we also like to experience other ships).
