Don't do it!! by MelissaG5537519

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Costa Serena / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

This was the rudest group of people I have ever seen!!!! Everybody pushing, getting in your personal space, stepping on your feet constantly. This ship is not prepared for this many people, especially rude people!!! During buffets, they acted like vultures who had NEVER had a meal before. The dinner staff never introduced themselves or asked how our day was and the service was extremely slow-not just Italian laid-back. Embarkment was so uncooordinated taking hours to get on the ship.

My Mediterranean Cruise by ElaineS3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Costa Serena / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

The ship was very decorative. The staff was helpful when we had a problem. However, because it was an Italian ship, the language was geared to them and even though English was spoken, there were many misunderstandings because of language. The "before trip" information was totally lacking. Many problems would have been avoided if we had more pre-sailing info. Costa was not quick to answer questions because we did not book directly through them.

A Basic Into to the Eastern Med by JonG3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Costa Fortuna / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

Overall the ship was pretty nice, but we had a suite room on the 8th deck rear corner with a huge balcony -- so we expected something nice.

good cruise for the money by SandraB4

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Costa Victoria / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

The ship was very clean and the staff were friendly and efficient. Only real complaint is that the pool water was freezing and you couldn't really swim in it. Also, there was no real kid play room.

The ship was well maintained, it was clean and everything in the stateroom worked well. The atrium was very beautiful. The ship was a nice size, not too big nor too small.

A Beautiful Cruise by DeborahG3

Sail date: /
Ship: Splendour of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

We were very happy with the ship being smaller and not having as many people on board. We thought the shows were very entertaining and that the staff went out of their way to keep every one involved. The food was very good, we were disappointed to not have lobster at least once but this quickly left our minds with the many selections that were available. We had great servers, and had a beautiful cabin. It was our anniversary and the ship had a celebration for newlyweds and anniversary couples that was very nice.

Trip of a Lifetime! by RobinB8

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Royal Princess (RETIRED) 558 / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

The ship was much smaller than most of the Princess ships; however, it made finding everything much easier. Because of the size, there were no mini-suites, only 1 pool, 1 laundry room, and a very small casino; as a result, it became very crowded at times which was not a pleasant environment. All in all, the ship was respectable.

wonderful cruise! by DonnaS4

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Splendour of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

This was my first cruise and I was very impressed. There was plenty of room in our stateroom and the bathroom - more than most hotels!! The staff was very friendly and professional. Everything was well organized and no waiting in lines, for dinner, etc. I was very impressed and would recommend Royal Caribbean to anyone!!!!

An interesting adventure by JohnS8

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Costa Fortuna / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

Let me start by saying we had a great time. The ship was clean and well cared for. Our cabin was a good size and the cabin stewart was attentive. The food was just ok. What really sold us on this trip was the ports of call. Italy, Greece and Croatia. The down side was the rude Italians. They refuse to wait in line, constantly cut you off, and are not the least bit friendly. Even the crew was complaining. We were two of only about 60 Americans on the ship.

Great Cruise! by Donnas11

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Splendour of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

The ship was very nice and clean. The adult pool was great. The handicap accessible room was much needed. The hallway was small with carts in them when we tried to pass with a wheelchair unfortunately. There was an abundance of food. People were friendly.

we really enjoyed the cruise by PatS18

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Jade / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

we found the ship very clean...the staff were very friendly and helpfull...there are some design and process problems in regards to accommodating the large number of people especially in how the garden buffet room is designed...access restrictions from the pool areas to the upper deck....more washrooms in deck areas would be nice...stardust theatre access from the ends would be more efficient....the aft 12 deck for eating was wonderfull...we ate breakfast there each morning...food was average and good number of selections....some juices and lemonade should be provided all day long and not just water and ice tea!

Fabulous Cruise by CaitlinC

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Splendour of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

The ship was in Great condition and the state rooms were very comfortable. We had a large balcony and loved spending time sailing the Sea. The food was quite good and surpassed our expectations, particularly in the main dining room. The entertainment on the ship was abundant and very amusing. There were always several activities going on from which you could choose to attend. The ports of call were Wonderful. Corfu was the least remarkable, but I would highly recommend finding a tour or way to get to the beach at this port. All in all it was a Fabulous Honeymoon and I would recommend the Splendour of the Seas (Mediterranean) to all of my friends and family members.
