Beautiful new terminal

We used the VIP parking across the street and it was super convenient to get to the terminal. All the staff we encountered were super helpful as this was our very first cruise. There were signs once you got in the terminal as well. I think it helped that we stayed the night before sailing and took that time to drive by the port to get a feel of it before we got there the next day.

The cruise port is a long way from any airports (45 minute drive minimum) but the city of Galveston is a great place to enjoy pre/post cruise and is ideal for locals.

Galveston is a wonderful island to explore . The restaurants are plentiful to choose from and have incredible food . Plenty to see and shopping on the strand too !

Fog delay- least favorite port because of fog issues. Boarded late on Febr 17th and the ship didn't leave port until about 11pm.

Galveston can be a fun time for anyone! Relatively clean beaches, Kemah boardwalk, and The Strand are all great time killers.

The cruise terminal is nothing fancy but functional and efficient. We have visited Galveston many times in the past. Many good restaurants and hotels.
