Have been delayed many times coming in to Tampa harbor because of Fog, the last time was 4 hours! I would not take the change.

We were delayed 8 hours in in late December due to fog, then it took us about 2 hours to get off the ship. We are local but our friends missed their afternoon flights, and had to get a hotel. It was very stressful for them. I feel an 8 hour delay is rare, but I would recommend booking a flight as late in the day as possible.

Only if you want to completely stress yourself out and ultimately suffer shear disappointment when it finally becomes clear that you'll never make it on time.

I just sailed in September and customs held up debarking until about 830am, we docked at 715. I'm platinum and didn't even get off until 930

While the port is relatively close to the Tampa Airport, I’m not sure I’d take the chance. I-275 can be a bear at any time of the day. Now you could certainly go through downtown and up Kennedy Blvd, but that’s a craps shoot as well.

you should have no problem if you walk off the ship. It's not far to the airport. You will probably get off the ship between 8-830. 20 minute ride to the airport.

The trip from port to airport on this Saturday at 7:37am would take a mere 12 minutes from start line to finish. How long it will take you to disembark, collect bags, get to a cab or shuttle, get checked in…heaven forbid there are any delays with the ship or customs…I wouldn’t do it.
