Stayed at the Holiday Inn Express the night before the cruise. Nice hotel and located around the corner from the port. They offered a shuttle service to the port if you wanted to leave your car at the hotel. We found parking at the port more convenient and was the same price. The employees working the port were all very nice.

We enjoyed Jacksonville. I have family there so it was nice to visit with them before we boarded. Parking was easy, and embarking and disembarking were easy as well.

Cruised out of Jacksonville in June 2017 and was disappointed. Parking was on an uncovered, fenced-in lot. I purchased Faster To The Fun and when I asked an attendant, they directed me to the regular line. Asked another person and was directed to the actual priority line. Once I reached the counter, the clerk had to verify my daughter's birth certificate as well as my naturalization certificate (both federal documents) with a manager because she wasnt familiar with them. She was pretty rude and acting as if I was trying to do something illegal until she came back from verifying with a manager. Her whole attitude changed and she was super sweet, guess she decided I wasn't a criminal after all, lol. Never had this issue on any other cruise port. My bags got delivered super-late even though with FTTF they normally are delivered priority. Hope my March cruise will go smoother.

Just returned from our cruise and this port was awful! Completely unorganized and process returning was ridiculous! We were waiting in line at customs for over an hour.

I found jaxsonvill traffic hard at night but other than that it was fun the beach was cool downtown was fun this a good city and a very good port!!! :)

make sure to get you a burger at Colonel Mustard's Phat Burgers while in jax! best burgers in the world! then stroll the beach. always our stop when in town.

Use port parking. Don't use park and ride. It is confusing and takes time. I lost an hour getting home because of that
