We left the ship via taxi. We attended church and spent the afternoon with a relative on the inland waterway with a boat tour. We stayed two extra nights at the Doubletree Gallery One Suite Hotel which was excellent. It was on the inland waterway near shops, the beach, and a Publix grocery.

Check in and security process was quick & smooth. It's a bit chaotic when you first arrive and better directions could have been given as to exactly where to go but it was ok. Waiting for an Uber after debarking was pretty bad. Not enough covered areas (it was raining) and the signage and directions again were lacking.

Someone tell me a nice place to stay in Fort Lauderdale, that will shuttle you to the port and allow us to leave our car. That don’t cost a lot.....Thanks

We are staying in Miami prior to our Caribbean cruise on Sunday. We left from NZ on Monday and only arrived the early hours of this morning after a cancelled flight, a missed flight and a delayed flight. We then had 3 out of 4 cases missing but have just had 2 delivered. 1 still missing. Thank god we had arranged 5 days holiday before the cruise otherwise we would have had a major issue. We never thought for a second that all these things would happen to us, but they did. Please be aware of this when arranging your trip. We are still really looking forward to our Caribbean cruise on the Regal Princess 😀
