I really enjoyed Ft. Lauderdale. Again, we were not in Upstate NY for the week so the weather played a big part in that haha. The hotel we stayed in, Homewood Suites by Hilton Ft. Lauderdale Airport-Cruise Port was perfect. It was right off of I-95 and they were amazing staff there. Our AC was not working the first night there, they came right up and fixed it immediately.

The ship arrived back at this port at 7am and our flight was not until 4. So, I booked an excursion so we would have something to do until our flight and have transportation to the airport. However all excursions at this port were canceled due to lack of participation.

We just flew into the airport here and went directly to the terminal via Uber, which I highly, highly recommend.

We had a late flight out the day we were leaving and were able to visit an alligator farm, drive down to the keys for lunch and the beach, and then see Miami! It was great!

Worst port ever. Total chaos. Choose Miami if possible. Check in staff was nice. Porters were rude and intimidating. Budget rental car drops off in the middle of the baggage staging area. Needed a wheelchair for elderly family member and could not get assistance. AWFUL PLACE. The port, not Fort Lauderdale.
