The ports location is very idustrial. However, emberkation and disembarkation was smoother than I expected it to be. We did not wait long at all........

On the middle Sunday of our 2 week cruise we stopped here but we stayed on the boat as it was Easter Sunday and from what we could see, there wasn’t much open. The following Sunday on our disembarkation day we went on a riverboat tour through the canals which was great

Did not do any any excursions in Florida, the Bus to Port from the Ft Lauderdale airport was a painless procedure. The driver was pretty fun and the boarding process was quick as well helpful crew/staff.

We took shuttle from hotel to port. Embarkation was a breeze.

As you might expect, there are a lot of things to do in Ft. Lauderdale. We typically come in a couple days in advance of the cruise, and take in the opportunities that abound in south Florida. Buying a ticket for the water taxi is always fun. You can ride the thing all over, get off wherever you want, and get back on. It's a great way to spend the late morning/early afternoon hours with a lunch break in the middle.

We did not go on excursion but went on our own and found the city full of vibrancy. Thinking of doing just Fort Lauderdale by itself.

Flying into ft. Lauderdale 2 days before cruise, heard you can get Covid tested at the airport. Does anyone know how far the testing site is from the Delta terminal & how to get there?

We drove down to Ft Lauderdale two days before we got on the cruise ship. We visited Everglades Holiday on our own. It was a great visit. A lot of fun on the airboat, seeing alligators, and feeding the birds.
