I rented a car and went out to see the twin peeks filming sites. I rented car at the airport for $46 total from alamo, toured Seattle and Salish falls , then dropped my luggage at the ship, then turned car into the downtown alamo office and had easy downhill walk to the ship

Up a steep hill, but very walkable to the Space Needle and surrounding attractions, as well as to Pike Place Market. No need for expensive ship tours here. Not much in the immediate port area- Olympic Sculpture Garden a bit to modern for my tastes- but lots within a 15-20 minute walk.

City was beautiful but traffic was horrendous. Not set up for a ship the size of explorer. Worst port I have been too. Took for ever getting in and out of port.

We spent 3 days here before the cruise, so when we got back and had another entire day before our plane we really had nothing more to do.

My Son and family live here. So much to do and see. I recommend Air B and B for a room. Many are very nice and homey, but not crazy expensive like the hotels. Also look up Windy City Pie for a filling and delish pizza, ask for Brandon, it's near the port.

We explored the city on our own as we have both been to Seattle before.
