Plenty of places to stay near the port if you come a day early. And San Diego is a fun town, for sure.

Strange to have San Diego as a port for the Mexican Riviera but it was a nice change. Only issue is that since it was your first port to visit after being in a foreign country, they made us go through customs then. That added hours to getting everyone off the ship. We were given an 11:30 time to start the process but we had Sea World tickets and had to be back on board before 5:30 so that would have only given us a few hours. We asked the front desk if we could have an earlier time and they moved it to 9:30. It was still almost 11 before we got off. Uber was $15 there but $25 back. Allow lots of time getting back to port due to rush-hour traffic. It took less than 15 minutes to get there but an hour getting back.

San Diego was great. Many activities to do. Would definitely recommend either coming in early or staying after to explore.

Some of the family went to the zoo. The rest of us took the Seal Boat from Seaport Village. Everyone loved San Diego!

Met with friends we had not seen in over 30 years. Had a great lunch at the Fish Market.
