The USS Midway museum is in walking distance of the port, and is great experience.

One of my favorite cities in the whole world! So beautiful. The vibe is amazing. The Mexican food is the best! So much to do. Could spend forever here!

I live in San Diego and love everything about it. Glad visitors see in the city what I do. Visit the world famous San Diego Zoo, safari park, sesame Place, Lego Land, Sea World, Balboa park, old Town (and eat at Old Town Mexican Cafe) little Italy and much much more. We are so blessed.

Even though I live here, I’ve taking many cruises when leaving a city or port doesn’t have the great skyline view that San Diego has when leaving. When the ship is docked you feel you can touch the downtown/port area.

I love this city. So much to do here. I visit there often. Having said that I did nothing this time except sit at the end of one of the piers with my camera. I read my book, took pics/videos, and just enjoyed the scenery for two hours. Went back onboard to eat then did the same thing up in Skywalkers. I was a very boring traveler and that’s exactly what I wanted. I got two books done and took lots of pictures/videos to post online eventually.

They say it never rains in Southern California, well it can and did...big time. This did not detract from an excellent promenade and a welcoming (flat) city centre only five minutes from the ship. Maritime museums, Red October submarines, US aircraft carriers, steamboats...you name it only five minutes from the ship.

Balboa park is truly the gem of this city, to spend time in each attraction would take a week. Must see for casual tours. Food in the park is world class as well

Fabulous city with great residents. Lots to see & do - loved Balboa Park & Old Town (historic type area bringing flavor of western and Spanish heritage to life)
