We took an onshore tour (less expensive than a ship excursion) of Noumea which included a stop at the Cultural Center. It was a very nice tour that included a hop-on-hop-off ticket to further explore Noumea. There are nice shops and restaurants near the port. The locals were very friendly.

Didnt get to see much of Noumea, the full day excursion to amedee was amazing, the hike up the light house was totally worth it.

Booked a hop on hop off bus which was really reasonable. Got off to go to market and then to get sea taxi to duck island. Lovely , then returned to hop on bus and back to boat.
