Rent a car and drive around the island. Go on the snorkel tour which takes you to a site near old Club Med, or better yet, book one of the all day tours through a hotel. You can easily take a taxi to meet a tour from the dock. Le Mayflower is a great French restaurant which locals go to.

Too bad that Princess anchors here the last day and only from 8 to 4. Moorea is the most beautiful and laid back of the islands. The water is incredible. We took a covered boat for $30 at 9 am and snorkeled and enjoyed the water and fish, sting rays, sharks and coral until noon and then they took us to a motu, and said they'd return every hour to pick people up. Unfortunately, we were concerned about getting back on time and also had to pack. We got back to the ship at 1pm.

Booked an island bus tour the day before in Tahiti. Was not disappointed at all. We had a great tour guide. Bus was brand new with great AC. Saw all the key points of interest and had a lovely day here.

i thought it was a relaxing port. i did scuba diving here but booked on my own since the ship did not offer it. i think you had to drive to get to any of the beach area. the island did not have a ton to do and i don't think there was a downtown area.
